Because the prices suck so bad, people are crashing out and lashing out left and right. Can you imagine if people lashed out at Vitalik for not founding a DEX, not founding a bridge, not founding a coin launcher that burns ETH, not beating the SEC in court, not making a blockchain time deposit protocol, not market buying deca millions and never selling, not sending advertisements and merch door to door, not giving away free coins, not sending millions of coins to people for marketing on chain, not running free chatrooms, not having a youtube channel, not giving out free books he's written, not founding a couple free infura (RPCs) devs build on and people use. That'd be crazy right? It's a good thing people aren't ungrateful trash, so they don't harass him.

The way I read Richard most of the time is "you can win with me, just not as much as I win." Which by extension means "you can lose with me, just not as much as I lose." People will push back hard on that second half, but if it wasn't true he'd have bounced by now. If you actually think the whole thing is a scam, ask yourself why he's still here. He doesn't need more money to disappear. Plastic surgery, new passports, quiet life somewhere with no extradition, that's all trivially available to someone with his resources. The fact that he's still around, still tied to the chain, still publicly attached to all of it, is its own signal. Not proof of anything. Just a data point that doesn't really fit the pure grift narrative. So... I remain.

in the pursuit of finding the meaning of life, the only thing i’ve found to be more meaningful than to be ”a way for the cosmos to know itself” is to appreciate it this simulation, this story, the great escapades of all the living things that we know have inhibited this planet, all the things that happened here, from the dinosaurs to the aztec empires, to the mayan kingdoms and to the second world war… blergh, how awesome wasn’t all of that? so when there is a time when we must go, put your mark on this existence by being the vessel to take it all in and allow yourself to be completely blown away and grateful for have been given the tools to be even remotely aware of the spectacular things that this simulation gave birth to i think that’s the only way to ”give back”, or somehow ”satisfy” this barely-self-aware cosmic blast of atoms what is the point of it all if there isn’t someone or something to be there who can think the thought ”holy shit that was awesome”. so i think there’s a goal in being among those who take a few steps back, zoom out, and marvel at it all. make a concerted effort to do so. don’t go out panicked and screaming. say goodbye with a kiss
