There is something haunting about the numerous long ago abandoned baseball back stops that still exist in towns across the US. Rotting benches that haven't been used for a game in decades. Infields long ago vanished.

I love my man Cal. I was raised on Cal. Therefore I also know / believe that Ripper hit into most double plays in MLB history. Obviously, he hit into less than he turned. He remains an old field stone and foundation to not only MLB but the Orioles. #MenAtWork
Cal Ripken Jr turning a double play. He turned 1,565 double plays in his career, the 3rd most ever.

Chris Hoiles, natch
It’s Game 7 of the World Series, bases loaded, 2 outs, tie game, in the bottom of the 9th. You can choose any batter in baseball in their prime to get you a hit… WHO DO YOU CHOOSE?

I am Dan Duquette truther. I never cared for Mike Elias having one or two too many buttons unbuttoned on his Oxford shirt. He can "lift off" out chere. Wasn't Bradish acquired in a Duquette trade or am I wrong? I did hear Elias acknowledge Felix was signed by Duquette's scouts
Also, remember Mike Elias playoff teams were riddled with Dan Duquette’s scrappy players. Santander, Hays, Mountcastle, Mullins, Kremer and Grayson. As soon as these guys fell off all of Elias’s stars folded. Not a single one has stepped up

@Orioles: If we can have a Tupac bobblehead how about a #FrederickDouglass bobblehead for next season? Douglass Week will be in Baltimore next year. You could have @NPSHistory / @FredDouglassNPS / @prattlibrary / @iamwesmoore / @MDHistory and many other partners participate.

Douglass was a fan of baseball. When @Nationals opened their new stadium in 2008 there was a mention of Frederick Douglass and DC Baseball history. So who will be first with FD bobblehead? #FrederickDouglassBobblehead youtube.com/watch?v=VZa5YkYx…

Language is unable to describe the feelings this manifested then and manifests now. A version of this ran for a couple seasons. Local areas throughout Maryland would be featured - as can be seen in this version.
Bring back the old MASN intro!!!!

Bainsey Hill I will stand on & defend for eternity. The pride of Saint Michaels, Maryland. He was a 3 time Oriole during my formative years. I remember going to a game w/ my dad the O's won 1-0. Bainsey solo homerun the only run of the game. I get it. In the HOF and should be.
Happy birthday to This Man, Harold Baines One of the great DHs of all time, he was a consistent force in the lineup everywhere he played. He recorded 100-RBI seasons 14 years apart and playing through TWO work stoppages was the only thing keeping him from 3000 hits / 400 homers.
