The
@Memeland team, or Memestrategy, has started making its move.
They have begun producing and opening pre-orders for a famous collectible card series in Hong Kong called “Themis”
There are only 1,800 boxes available, each containing 10 packs, with over 140 types of cards to collect, including rare cards with celebrity signatures.
The first batch sold out within 15 minutes.
There will be another pre-order round in early May, with delivery scheduled for early June.
Distribution will cover both "Hong Kong and Overseas Markets"
What does this show?
I see this as the first step in Memeland’s strategy, likely a test of market demand, as well as logistics, shipping, and distribution processes. In other words, a kind of stress test for a new product or business that could eventually run on Web3.
And yes, I think the upcoming Captainz art (expected this month) will likely start as digital cards, followed by physical cards, along with tokenization to verify ownership. (From what we’ve seen above, you probably don’t need to worry about the business, distribution, or logistics side at all.)
Can you start to see what
@9gagceo is doing?
I think they are preparing to turn Captainz collectibles into something with real value.
