BREAKING NEWS
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2023 #NobelPrize in Chemistry to Moungi G. Bawendi, Louis E. Brus and Alexei I. Ekimov “for the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots.”
It's not that complicated. We can and should simultaneously celebrate Dr. Kariko for her ideas and persistence in the face of adversity, while acknowledging that she succeeded in spite of us, and realize it is our duty to do whatever we can to never let it happen again.
The Loop, a campus favorite since 2000, closed its doors at the end of the 2022-23 school year. Now, students are dining at its Bryan Center replacement, which held its grand opening Wednesday:

A statement from President Vincent E. Price. Find resources for the Duke community: duke.is/4/ceaq
ALT A quote from Duke President Price on a Carolina blue background. Text reads "Our hearts are heavy today as we grieve alongside our UNC colleagues and friends.
As I have expressed personally to Chancellor Guskiewicz, the Carolina community has the full support of everyone at Duke.
For those at Duke who may need support, please remember that you’re not alone. Our mental health and personal support resources are available to provide comfort and assistance."
