Trans people deserve love and equality. I’m worried these new rules won't achieve that.
We need a proper debate in Parliament on them, and what they mean for our trans constituents.

Egan's gripe appears to be, wait for it, that the Workplace Regulations 1992 are "30 years old" and should therefore be ignored.
I wonder if all employment rights and legislation over 30 years old should be ignored, repealed, reviewed, or otherwise stymied?
Today, @AndreaEganGS has written to @EHRC Chair Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson challenging their statement, giving examples from our members where employers are withdrawing trans inclusive policies and using the code of practice guidance as the reason.

1/ I went to Parliament to watch the Women and Equalities Committee. The chair of the EHRC Mary-Ann Stephenson (MAS) and CEO John Kirkpatrick were giving evidence, the other adults in the room were Rosie Duffield and Rebecca Paul MP. Other than that it was the slow kid's table.
