💢 Bolivian authorities have detained and deported an international human rights delegation of Argentine lawmakers, union organizers, and activists after they arrived at El Alto International Airport in La Paz, citing alleged irregularities in their travel documents. The delegation said it had traveled at the invitation of local organizations to investigate allegations of police repression and human rights abuses amid Bolivia’s deepening political crisis. The expulsions come as anti-government protests and roughly 90 road blockades have crippled the country for nearly two months, triggering shortages of food, fuel, and medicine. President Rodrigo Paz’s government, which recently expanded emergency powers allowing the suspension of constitutional rights and wider military deployment, accuses opponents of “narco-terrorism” and sabotage, while rights groups warn of an escalating crackdown and shrinking space for independent scrutiny.

This is correct and why the Aug 2021 Afghanistan pull out was the Super Bowl for our vapid, war-horny pundit class. They got to look like they were Speaking Truth To Power while promoting the permanent security state they ultimately serve. This is known as The Tapper Sweet Spot
Hawkish criticisms are the cheapest, easiest way to "speak truth to power."

Why does every US pundit play the role of the State Dept strategist? Why do you care if our violent and capacious empire (that sneak attacked Iran) gets a "good deal"? How is this of any moral significance to these people? Are you on the board of Lockheed Martin? Whatever ends it

🏳️‍🌈Every June, millions of people look forward to Pride Month as a time to celebrate LGBTQ people for who they are. But Pride was not always a mainstream celebration; it was fought for! The roots of Pride are in resistance — people standing up against discrimination, police harassment, and laws that targeted LGBTQ people. Today, after years of hard-won progress, LGBTQ people, especially transgender people, have become targets of a new wave of attacks from politicians and right-wing organizations. These attacks aren't just about one community — they’re part of a broader effort to divide ordinary people so that we blame each other for the issues we face, instead of the billionaires who are the real cause! The LGBTQ movement has won important victories over the years not because powerful people suddenly decided to do the right thing, but because ordinary people organized, protested, and fought back. Every major right, from workplace protections to marriage equality, was won through collective action. Pride is both a time to celebrate and to remember that lesson of history! PRIDE MEANS FIGHT BACK!

“When the moment comes to choose between comfort and conscience, choose conscience.” Pro-Palestine activist Mahmoud Khalil delivered a speech to Stanford graduates at a "People's Commencement" Sunday after their mass walkout during graduation. The graduates' walkout occurred during Google CEO Sundar Pichai's commencement speech, as a protest against the tech company's contracts with the IDF, CBP, and ICE. Khalil, who was detained last year by ICE for over three months for his role as lead negotiator at Columbia University's Gaza Solidarity Encampments, urged the students to keep building the movement for Palestine, assuring them, "History remembers those who speak up." This year marked the third People’s Commencement at Stanford, organized by students and activist groups.

They were acquitted on all charges until the State forced a rigged retrial that lied to the jury. This wasn't justice. It was the death of it in Britain.
Smashing up other people’s property is illegal. Injuring a police office with a sledge hammer is illegal. Having a political motivation for illegal acts doesn’t stop it being illegal. It's capitulation, and it's good Trump capitulated. And Democrats shouldn't be trashing Trump from the militarist-right, but then they wouldn't be Democrats. x.com/matthew_petti/status/2…

It’s stupid to say Trump “surrendered” to Iran, first of all because it’s bad politics (do you WANT the war to resume?) but also because it isn’t true. We fought to a draw and BOTH SIDES are making compromises now. That’s how peace works!

The worst part is him saying the strike on the elementary school in Minab (that killed 168 schoolchildren and teachers) "is a use case that doesn't even violate our red lines."

Protests erupted outside of London’s Woolwich Crown Court Friday as four Palestine Action activists – Charlotte Head, Samuel Corner, Leona Kamio and Fatema Zainab Rajwani – were sentenced under terrorism powers. The Filton 4, as they have come to be known, were arrested in 2024 for their direct action dismantling weapons inside of an Elbit Systems facility, which supplies arms to Israel. Among the hundreds of supporters at the rally were Kamran Ahmed and T Hoxha, two former hunger strikers and fellow Palestine Action activists, known collectively as the Filton 25. Ahmed criticized the sentence as an "attack" on both the movement for Palestinian liberation and the British public. Hoxha was scheduled to appear in court Monday while Ahmed awaits trial.

Kaiser therapists and social workers are continuing to document dangerous delays in mental healthcare as patients wait weeks between appointments and clinicians struggle under crushing caseloads. Workers say real accountability starts with regulators hearing directly from the people providing — and trying to access — care every day. home.nuhw.org/2026/05/26/the…

Democrat or Republican, all we get is endless war. Our only way out is a radical break that stops thinking of politics as which of these rich freaks to vote for and instead asks how we can take action on the ground right now to change the unacceptable status quo.
Don’t believe the hype on Trump’s deal with Iran. This isn’t peace or strength—it’s a dangerous giveaway. The Strait of Hormuz was open before Trump’s war. Now he’s handing Iran billions in sanctions relief to rebuild their military. This is a disaster.

It’s a stupid meme for midwits. It’s not “my tax dollars” going to Iran, it’s money the US unilaterally stole from them as part of a “maximum pressure campaign” to weaken Iran that they are now forced to (partially) give back as recompense for murdering 3000 of their people
Wow I can’t believe they did the meme
