What happened to Ninja Theory in indeed shocking. Especially when a game was just featured in June. But man the same people that ridiculed the studio, championed its closure when Hellblade 2 launched are the same people now upset its closing I guess careful what you wish for. If you was one of those people, you have no right to complain now. You got what you wanted. the rest of you, its a sad day we may not get more Senua games and thats a sad day :(

Smh. I remember the rationale behind the shutdown of Tango and Arkane Austin. It was because theyโ€™d just finished games (Redfall, Hifi Rush) and their new projects hadnโ€™t been greenlit. If this is true, the same is likely happening to Compulsion. Sucks, I liked South of Midnight.

If they shut down ID Software, I'm going to sell my Xbox and buy a PC. And it doesn't even make sense for them to shut down ID Software.
Insider Gamingโ€™s Mike Straw recently claimed that two Xbox studios are reportedly at risk of closure, with one of them supposedly being a studio that would โ€œcome as a shock to everyone.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฌ If weโ€™re speculating about which studio could be the โ€œshockโ€ closure, these are the two names that come to mind: Arkane Lyon The studio behind Dishonored 2, Death of the Outsider, and Deathloop, currently developing Marvelโ€™s Blade. Most people would consider them safe, which is exactly why their closure would be so surprising. We know very little about Bladeโ€™s development, and if the project is facing major delays, budget concerns, or other challenges, Xbox could be forced to make a difficult decision. Marvel projects arenโ€™t cheap, and expectations are undoubtedly high. id Software The legendary studio behind DOOM, Quake, and RAGE. This would arguably be the biggest shock of all. Theyโ€™re one of the most iconic FPS developers in gaming history and a cornerstone of Xboxโ€™s shooter portfolio. Beyond the upcoming DOOM DLC on July 7, we have very little visibility into the studioโ€™s long-term plans. The other question is whether franchises like DOOM and Quake still have enough room to grow in todayโ€™s market. Both series remain highly respected, but theyโ€™re built around a style of FPS design that differs from many of the industryโ€™s biggest modern shooters. The key question is whether Xbox sees enough long-term growth potential in these franchises to justify continued investment. Only Microsoft knows whether theyโ€™re meeting its commercial expectations. Itโ€™s also worth noting that id Software currently doesnโ€™t appear to have any open positions, and the studio doesnโ€™t seem to be listed on ZeniMaxโ€™s careers page either. That could mean absolutely nothing, but itโ€™s another detail worth considering. I hate this industry some days. It feels like every year we lose talented teams and great studios. ๐Ÿ’” Who do you think the โ€œshockโ€ studio could be?

Since yโ€™all loved my Fairly Odd Parents collection concept so much. I think a Jimmy Neutron collection makes sense for a follow-up.
What if they make a Fairly Odd Parents retro collection

"disney channel, disney jr. and disney "
Disney Branded Television is now changing itโ€™s name to Disney Kids & Family! The change reflects the nature of the content the division makes for its platforms. Disney Channel, Disney Jr., and Disney . The content made for Disney Channel will target from ages six to teenagers, Disney Jr. serves preschoolers, and Disney is family co-viewing entertainment destination for the division.

If all these people on Twitter clutching their pearls over Compulsion Games, Double Fine, and Ninja Theory actually bought their games they wouldnโ€™t be in danger of shutting down. But they didnโ€™t and now theyโ€™re putting on an act for engagement and console war points.

This is gonna sound harsh but all these layoffs need to happen not just at Xbox but at all other AAA game studios The budgets are too big, too many meaningless jobs, too much reliance on streaming services, games take too long to make, and an overall abandonment of what made gaming great in the first place which is just making fun games for players and not their peers Things are always worse before they get better so I for welcome the reset thatโ€™s happening

No way Xbox is getting this much heat for closing studios or moving them on from internal to independent! Don't forget, previous leadership and poor decisions has cost Xbox dearly financially! I don't remember Sony getting this much heat with the way they've handled Bungie all these years and other internal studios. It's business and very sad people may loose their jobs but the industry as a whole has been very unpredictable the last six years.
