I oppose this agreement with every fiber of my being. I believe it is a dangerous capitulation and a strategic disaster.
I oppose it because it is bad for America.
But to demand that American Jews pressure the President of the United States to make foreign policy decisions based primarily on Israel, as though our political duty is to a foreign state rather than to our own country, is borderline treasonous.
Do not tell American Jews that their role is to exert pressure on their own president for the sake of Israel. It is duplicitous, disgraceful, and dangerously close to the very dual-loyalty smear that Jews have spent generations fighting.
The President should reject this deal because America must not appease the worldโs leading state sponsor of terror. America must not reward hostage-taking, nuclear blackmail, regional aggression, and genocidal threats. America must not abandon its own credibility or its own strategic interests. Not because of Israel or any other foreign nation.
American Jews do not owe political obedience to Israel, nor is our patriotism conditional on Israeli needs.

What exactly did the Meraglim do wrong?
Moshe sent them to scout the Land, and they returned with a report. They didn't invent anything. They described what they saw. Were they supposed to lie?
The answer is that the Meraglim totally misunderstood their assignment. They were sent on a holy mission to the Holy Land, but they returned speaking the language of geopolitics, conquest, and strategy.
They viewed Eretz Yisroel as a national project, and their job as a reconnaissance mission to assess military risks or political outcomes.
Instead of recognizing the Land as a Divine inheritance, they viewed it in terms of statehood, reducing it to an army and sovereignty.
Eretz Yisrael is a holy land. When we conflate it with the political structures and the military might of the State, we repeat the Meraglim's mistake, even while imagining we're doing the opposite.

Serving South Carolina has been the greatest honor of my life. Every vote I cast, every hearing I called, every fight I picked โ it was always for you.
Iโve seen what happens when good people stay quiet. And Iโve seen what happens when they donโt. I would choose the latter every single time.
Iโve taken on the rich and powerful in both parties because I stand with the people of South Carolina!
I am literally willing to get on a plane to evacuate you from a war zone - Iโve done that too.
I voted to release the Epstein files and lost some support for that.
As a survivor, I chose to stand on principle and stand against the Epstein cover-up. I chose to expose the names hidden in the sexual harassment slush fund. I chose to expose DEI judges. I chose to expose the abusers of children.
And apparently, I chose wrong if the goal was winning an election.
I'm at peace with that. Because when a candidate is OK with corruption and cover-ups - something is broken. That's not a political opinion. That's a moral emergency.
I will always be grateful for the people of South Carolina who trusted me, fought with me, and refused to look the other way. This isn't the end of the fight. It's just the end of this chapter.
I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to serve my fellow country man and serve the greatest state in the nation, South Carolina.
