A reminder that saar wouldn't even have come back if not for his familial troubles. All this nationalism is therefore nauseating.
This is big: all access to Mythos and Fable AI models disabled for everyone outside America. First thoughts: 1. Technology is the ultimate weapon. National sovereignty, national security, all of it is now about technology. 2. Globalization is dead and Bharat must find her own way ahead. We must keep these two ideas in mind. What can our government do right now? Ensure that orgs in India embrace smaller models, both Indian and Chinese open source ones. With a bit of effort, we can make them work. Anyway, why pay money to people who don't even want to sell to you? We must deepen our R&D. Sarvam has been on it and we have been on it but remember that the latest models cost not only huge GPU budgets to train, the GPUs themselves are restricted. So we can't afford the scale of money (of the order of $100 billion to even get in the game!) and even if we could come up with the money, we can't get all the GPUs. I would not like to ask the government to fund tens of billions of dollars on this anyway - the money has far better uses. Zoho has been pursuing alternative R&D approaches that are far, far less expensive but by its nature cutting edge R&D takes time and we are patient. I am confident we will get there. Any remaining people in India who have delusions about globalization should wake up now.

Our rulling elites, many descended from the erstwhile servile rulers, don't have the proper Shatrubodh. They're not the honourable British or Prussian aristocrats, the classes that transformed two European backwaters into two most powerful nations of the world. Sad.
Pakis have their priorities set, survive like parasites & continue to bleed India. It's our establishment that delusionally seeks peaceful coexistence & people to people connections with them. Americans labeled USSR an Evil Empire & ensured it was dismantled & buried in history. That's how animosity should end.

It goes far beyond four years. It is evident to those who have studied the US’ actions over the decades. The myth that alignment post-Soviet dissolution, post-liberalization and post-nuclear deal can meaningfully compound in the strategic domain, was going to be shown up someday. Services trade, remittances, and loose talk about a “human bridge” do not align core national interests. The story of shared interests in materially containing China diminishes in potency by the day given the speed with which China has risen and the increasing need of the US to stabilize Sino-US ties. What we are left with are the gaping holes in the relationship. Look at India on the map, the maritime routes it straddles, the population and economic potential it has, and the veto it can exercise should it develop. It cannot be destroyed in a war because it is too large and populous. It can, however, be consistently kneecapped through proxy wars, secessionism, economic and technological constraints, disinformation operations, corruption, human capital stripping, and foreign dependencies. This has been a theme in play for over two decades. A fully sovereign India that grows to China’s economic size today by mid century irreversibly shifts the balance of power from the North Atlantic to the Indo-Pacific. This is strategically unviable for a US that depends on military, trade, technology and currency hegemony to preserve unipolarity and domestic growth.
The strategic interests of India and the US do not converge. This has been clear for the last four years. Some people who believe in a simplistic application of structural realism, according to which both countries have a common rival in China,... 1/8

Quit QUAD group as sign of protest. Stop GE engine and move manufacturing of Saturn 61 engine to india, install saturn in Tejas, build AMCA around Saturn, Fund Kaveri engine. Else keep humiliating yourself.
Deeply shocking to read this official US statement, which contains absolutely no expression of regret or condolence for the loss of innocent Indian lives. How can a “friend” and strategic partner be so deeply insensitive? Why couldn’t a non-compliant commercial vessel have been stopped using other, non-lethal means? Is it not possible to disable a ship's propulsion or steering without firing missiles targeted to kill civilian crew members? Practically every merchant ship navigating these crucial waters has Indian crew on board. Are they all considered fair game for US missiles now? This approach is unacceptable and I hope @DrSJaishankar had said so to @marcorubio.

"indian runs half the world tech" Running cheap sweat shops to undercut western wages is not equivalent to running world tech. A small nations of netherlands and taiwan have bigger contribution in running modern tech than india.

According to indian Pajeetas real freedom means roaming naked on streets.
Can an average girl wear something like this in Indian streets? When will we get real freedom?

I've heard from a Chinese sociology expert that lower caste Chinese are so oppressed and malnourished for centuries that they've developed genetic issues. He said that the higher caste are on the top of the food chain and hence have great genetics. Very sad state if true.

India has never had a revolution despite huge inequality because Hinduism is fundamentally anti-revolution. There is a reason Gandhi won, while every revolutionary regardless of ideology lost.
India will never, ever have a revolution. We are poisoned beyond compare, and we all live by a script we can see, yet refuse to break away from.

Indian government has always been this weak. Which is why we are treated like trash around the world. In the last decade the current government successfully deluded many citizens into believing that we are a superpower. This is why it hurts even more when a ruthless man like Trump takes full advantage of us. The only way is to develop leverage and use it effectively. The GoI is least interested in it.
So, if an Indian is killed by America today, his death won’t even be officially acknowledged in India. Has India ever been this weak before? I really don’t think so. This is heartbreaking. We need a real Prime Minister urgently.
