I took my GF to the theater in 1984 to see Desperately Seeking Susan. Madonna right? It was sold out so we decided to try The Company of Wolves. It was still packed like most small theaters in the 80's (we didn't have a lot to do).
At the end of the film when the lights came up, the entire theater erupted in boos. I joined in because I felt the same way. Outside in the lobby people were actually demanding their money back at the box office (it really had one with a poor clerk in it behind the glass.)
I have never seen a movie in a theater with a reaction from the audience as bad as this film.
What are your thoughts on this one?
It’s not your standard formula horror movie, not shockingly scary, but it haunts you later on…😱

DM’ed my first run of 5.5 yesterday. Here’s my setup. I did use the old Mage Knight castle pieces as a small screen for my hidden rolls (passive perception). An old Geek Chic dice tower for the enemy combat rolls. My custom DM screen inserts were on the iPad (first page shown).

The rogue was on watch and failed to see the sneaky goblins. All started surprised and four of them prone. To my delight one Nat20 was rolled by the attacking goblin on the rogue triggering my house Injury Condition rules. She received a severe wound in the groin.

I’ll talk about the mechanics of this house rule after more play testing. The intent of the Injury Condition is to add to the role play with some slight combat/journey penalties. While hit location and injury homebrew have been around forever in D&D, I wanted to see how they would fit in with the tight condition mechanics of 5.5.
