Dear @SouthwestAir - we used to be different. I have a-list status, an empty seat beside me — and they sent my best friend to the back. He even offered to pay. “Just the rules.” That seat flew empty. Somewhere along the way, you lost your soul… and maybe we lost us.

Reading this month's @Commentary's tribute to the great NP was so moving. It made me reflect deeply on my own life and how much work there is still to be done - "The day is short and the grind is much" @jpodhoretz well done.

As an aside: Making it, is one of the single best books to explain the support DJT enjoys in the Frume Velt. To paraphrase a delightful sentence in the opening... The frume velt understands the judgement the classist world makes on them and refuses to concur.

I finished this over shabbos. Surprisingly good story. “One always admires a fighter with heart” she had the guts to call out the horrors of the Bolsheviks even though it costed her all her friends in the radical left.

Goes well with this. Probably the best political autobiography I’ve read.

In 2008, Rabbi Gavriel & Rivki Holzberg were murdered by terrorists in Mumbai. Just last year, Rabbi Zvi Kogan was murdered by terrorists in Abu Dhabi. And now, Rabbi Eli Schlanger murdered in Sydney when terrorists came for his community. My message is simple: hug your Rabbi & Rebbetzin this week, and thank them for devoting themselves to Jewish flourishing. And stand with @Chabad as they build Jewish pride in the public square.

I'm afraid the American Jewish community is headed in a very bad direction. Every public event includes some weepy tribute to the victims of Oct. 7 as well empty speeches about how "they can never break our spirit," all while employing maximum security that makes us feel like we're being herded back into the ghetto. Enough. Instead, every Jewish event should celebrate the filthy animal terrorists we've eliminated--Sinwar, Nasrallah et al -- and cheerful promises to do the same to every murderous terrorist. Instead, every Jewish event should focus not on whining about the baddies who hate us but on living more robust, joyful Jewish lives, keeping Shabbat and learning Torah and bringing more light into the world. Instead, every Jewish event should have *zero* security guards and metal detectors outside and a few hundred well-armed, well-trained Jews inside. Stop saying "we're not afraid." Show it.

There's this scene in the Godfather where Michael Corleone tells Tom Hagen that he's out because he's "not a wartime consiglieri". We are at war. We need war time Rabbis, war time Jewish organizations and wartime leadership.

Unapologetic Jewish Pride in a World of Chaos: A Thread 🧵 1/ The world feels upside down. Israel fights for survival against genocidal terrorists, while in America, Jews face hatred in places we thought were safe—our schools, campuses, and institutions.
