I'm afraid the American Jewish community is headed in a very bad direction. Every public event includes some weepy tribute to the victims of Oct. 7 as well empty speeches about how "they can never break our spirit," all while employing maximum security that makes us feel like we're being herded back into the ghetto.
Enough.
Instead, every Jewish event should celebrate the filthy animal terrorists we've eliminated--Sinwar, Nasrallah et al -- and cheerful promises to do the same to every murderous terrorist.
Instead, every Jewish event should focus not on whining about the baddies who hate us but on living more robust, joyful Jewish lives, keeping Shabbat and learning Torah and bringing more light into the world.
Instead, every Jewish event should have *zero* security guards and metal detectors outside and a few hundred well-armed, well-trained Jews inside.
Stop saying "we're not afraid." Show it.
