I checked the Facebook page of the Congress leader who made this claim at Kottiyoor. Some days after the incident he posted this. Two videos of Hindus claiming that this family does have a claim. And also a photo, where I recognize one person who happens to be IUML leader.
No other English media has done a report on this new claim of rights at the Kottiyoor temple. Mainstream Malayalam media have also avoided this.

Please save our temples from Hindus
Yes you heard it right.. I am talking about the Kottiyur temple here. Kottiyur is not just an ordinary temple, rituals are given the most importance here. Please don't go there seeing reels and hype. Just look how peaceful Sheveli was held there before and how it is happening now. People are whistling during Sheeveli, For what ?? Any show going there ?

My point is to bring such regulations in situations where temples get an unexpectedly large crowd that can't be managed well. I would expect even for me to be restricted when visiting a Kerala temple that's far from my home. It's got nothing to do with State borders.

It's good to find an article from Kesari Weekly talk about the play Matanmoksham and the original book written by Jeyamohan. The author acknowledges the value of this story despite it being biased against Hindutva. I just finished reading the book.

It's a critique on Sanskritization. Or whatever it is you would call a wrongful conversion of temples within Hinduism.
It would be good if we can have deeper discussions on this topic without all the other politics mentioned in the article.
