Paizo is following the same path as WOTC they are just lagging behind by a few years. We broke from them when their game director decided to call half of America (the conservatives) facists. Long live @trolllordgames and @_Autarch_ for focusing on gameplay and not their personal politics. Not to mention (as I will,) C&C gives a discount to vets!! Bulmahn stated that there was "no space for fascists in our game" and suggested that Vice President Vance should send back any Pathfinder books he possessed if he ever played the game. He even doubled down after he was caught doing this, blocking anyone who criticized his post rather than apologizing for trying to gatekeep RPGs on behalf of his extreme leftist ideologies.

Sometimes we feel bad about the small oversights we made in ACKS but then we are reminded of the great oversights in other games... TY Eric!

Which do you prefer in rules writing, the more natural language found in AD&D and BX or the more technical language found in 3.5E/4E/5E? ACKS began with natural language but over time I felt obliged to switch to technical writing. Ascendant is largely written technically.

It is positively astonishing how many OF models follow Autarch here on X. I had no idea that adult performers liked RPGs so much. It's weird that they always have low follower counts, though. Maybe big OF stars follow bigger RPGs?

My group and i have departed from dnd and pathfinder and found a great alot of fun in picking up and learning acksii. I rather enjoy going from nigh immortal powerplay in modern systems to the much more unforgiving crawl. Plus cleave has been insanely fun.

If you’re looking for domain play, nothing does it better than @_Autarch_ ‘s Adventuer Conqueror King System. Absolutely some of the best books I have read on the subject, right up there with the Advanced 1st edition DMG.
