Light is the best disinfectant and all that. Would also be a hoot of course.
Last summer I raised the proposition of two changes to FOI law. One was the extension of FOI law to political parties in relation to the murky world of candidate selection, policy influence and to funding- all of which there are clear public interest cases for. (1/x)

A terrific advert for the people’s paper — the only one of those five owned by its readers.
One of the five newspapers provided in the Senedd's Members' area was founded by the Communist Party. A signal of why economic growth in Wales has been so abysmal for the last 27 years?

Hunter’s claim obviously complete bollocks. Nodding dog is station owner Baron Haughey - Labour donor & Jackie Baillie funder whose threat to withdraw funding was key to ousting R Leonard. Scottish Labour now occupy a building held by an offshore company controlled by his son.

It is simply not the case that 250 people pay 60% of all the income tax in Scotland @SirTomHunter. This is a false claim that should be corrected. Here’s why 🧵

Most British households were private renters at the start of the 20th century but very few were by the 1970s because government policy made landlordism much less attractive and made alternatives widely available - owner occupation and council housing. It was a great achievement.
Surprise, surprise @wesstreeting is on @BBCr4today bashing landlords. I’ve got news for you mate, we can’t have a ā€œproductive nationā€ without people having homes, so if you want to tax Landlords to hell, I’d build some alternative accommodation first ā€˜cos you’re going to need it.

Such a disappointing misrepresentation of the meeting I attended yesterday. There was a wide ranging discussion of the failed election campaign and there is a difference between a position of seeing nothing to gain from an immediate change of leadership and unqualified support.
A Labour source told the Record that Saturday's meeting of the party's Scottish executive committee had endorsed Sarwar to "crack on with our support". dailyrecord.co.uk/news/polit…

There is something poetic about Starmer being subject to the same resignation parade he was once so willing to perform in himself a decade ago. Bye bye.

The current Labour crisis was always the likely outcome from the scorched earth policy applied after Starmer won the leadership promising continuity with Corbyn's manifesto. Its authors knowingly destroyed Labour and judged it a price worth paying for purging the left.
