To the person who broke into my car and stole all my robotics kits, I hope you put them to good use and see you at pi wars! Oh what's that? You thought it was Makita? And now you've realised it's just raspberry pis and wires it's going in the bin? 😖😖😖

There have been so many good Triangle Factory memes and I've been saving them all week. Here are some of the best ones I've saved: 1. Samsung Factory

I graduated after an integrated masters in mechanical engineering with ~£75k student loan. That's about £5k/year in interest Which means that to stay on top of interest payments according to the 9% over £27k threshold, I needed to graduate on a salary of £85k 🙃
In 2021 I owed £61,586 on all my student loans. I am pleased to announce that 3 years later in 2024 I have managed to get that number down to... £61,757. Yes, after paying £300 out of my salary every month I now owe the @SLC_Repayment £200 more than I did 3 years ago.

State of this... Genuinely one of my key reasons for my disillusion of AI is the Weirdness of all the tech bros who plug it Like this is an interesting thread and amazing tech, but in the prompt "nice body type"? Really? Like this isn't a guy I want to hang out with ahaha

The prompt is a bit long, so I've put it in the ALT text of the images. PRO (left) - Schnell (Right)

Not sure what poor Ed Davey did to earn the undivided vitriol of Count Binface relative to the other two...

Been messing with chatGPT to see how it would go about a pi wars design. It's got a lot better than last time I used it but still does some * interesting* things It largely corrects itself when prompted to, but really feel I have to hand hold it. Why can't it do that initially!?

And when I pointed this out it then decided it was going to do a comparison between left and right sensors to inform it's decision Finally! Impressive all the same but I feel that it's a good starter for ten, but iterative tweaks would be faster done by hand rather than prods!

However it's not all ideal, it did at one point boldly claim that a motor controller rated at 1.2A could safely control a motor that stalls at 1.5A Interestingly, for the given motor controller it's not technically wrong, but in it's output it only talked about the 1.2A rated C

Maker Twitter If you were to design & make a basic battery powered wireless remote control (incl. housing) for an interactive toy - lights, sounds, a servo motor or two - how cheaply can it be made? You can presume a micro-controller of your choosing installed in the toy itself
