AIR 121, UPSC CSE 2025. Certain victories are not yours alone - they are the manifestation of the collective goodwill of family, friends, teachers, and colleagues. Truly grateful and I hope to learn and do better every single day I am in service :)

@SwiggyCares @Swiggy has stopped taking any accountability for its delivery partners. No movement to pick up the order, missed orders - and the chatbot gives unhelpful responses. It is a pathetic service taking customers for granted. #swiggy

Even as @SwiggyCares delivery partner has flat out refused to deliver, we are unable to connect with customer care for cancelling the order or resolving the issue. @jagograhakjago

This is exactly the question I’ve been unable to answer. If #Claude makes software engineering and other fields redundant, then where does the economy get the money from to sustain these #AI models? Companies running only on AI will sell what to whom?
who’s gonna buy your subscriptions then ?

Almost always a nobody founder of a nothing company that absolutely no one cares about, who is adamant about working during time-off to prove how important the enterprise is.

I’ll die on this hill: Even on vacation, you and your team should still check in periodically. 2 minutes. Quick peek at Slack. Quick scan of Gmail. Anything urgent? Handle it or route it. If you completely disappear, you simply don’t care. Tell me I’m wrong.

In August this year, the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 was passed. The Act promotes e-sports and online social games while comprehensively banning all forms of online money games. The Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) has since released the Draft Rules, 2025 for public consultation. At The Quantum Hub (@tqh_policy), we’ve submitted our recommendations to help ensure that the Rules balance accountability with innovation - enabling legitimate enterprises to comply confidently while continuing to create safe and engaging gaming experiences. 💡 Our key recommendations: ▪️ Clearly distinguish between online game service providers (OGSPs) and online gaming intermediaries. ▪️ Define where gamification ends and online gaming begins, and clarify whether indirect partners (e.g. sponsors) fall under the OGSP ambit. ▪️ Adopt a self-declaration and deemed approval process for non–money games, with defined timelines for registration and recognition. ▪️ Limit the definition of “material changes” to monetisation shifts that could turn a game into an online money game. ▪️ Clarify permissible monetisation models, including whether user participation fees can fund e-sport prize pools. While the Draft Rules mark a commendable effort toward a structured and responsible framework, addressing these ambiguities will be key to ensuring regulatory clarity, consumer trust, and sustainable growth for India’s gaming and e-sports industries. 📄 Read our full submission here → thequantumhub.com/submission… @rohitkr_RK, @_amritastic, @GanesanAarathi, @GuhaDeepro, @rakesh1464, @sridharmuppidi, @DhruvG08, @shivanijha_, @jnsayta, @HarishChengaiah, @journoImran, @SurakshaPinnuET, @imsoumyarendra, @kamyapandey63, @Aditi_muses, @AroonDeep #OnlineGamingPolicy #EsportsIndia #DigitalInnovation #GamingRegulation #TechPolicy

Went out this morning and saw a thick layer of smog at 11 AM; eyes burning and throat itchy ever since - idk if there is an improvement but it is not nearly enough. If not for work, I’d not be in Delhi rn because it is a serious health hazard

Maybe it has been a while being in public policy because the moment I saw the scene, I instinctively thought this would come up.

On the basis of a complaint that Netflix web series titled the 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood' allegedly showed actor Ranbir Kapoor using banned e-cigarettes on screen without a warning or disclaimer, the National Human Rights Commission writes to the Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, to take appropriate action to prohibit such content, which may influence youth. The NHRC letter addressed to the Mumbai Police Commissioner urges police to register an FIR against Ranbir Kapoor and producers, production company and OTT platform Netflix for violation of the Prohibition of Electric Cigarettes Act 2019.

Imagine paying GST on walking! That is exactly what I am forced to do, when I pay GST for my wheelchair without which I cannot move. It was encouraging to hear the Hon’ble Prime Minister talk about GST reforms by Diwali in his Independence Day speech. I hope in this wave of reforms, the needs of PwDs are also considered. I wrote to the finance minister @nsitharaman and all GST council members to make Disability aid and services zero rated. This is a non-partisan issue and I do hope all GST council members come together to remove this tax on PwDs walking, seeing and hearing. My request to all the Chief ministers and state finance ministers to rally behind this and correct this "disability tax burden" in the GST regime like many other progressive countries have done.

The obsession with blunt policy instruments, especially bans and taxation, is beyond me. The multiplier effect that IPL has on hospitality, travel, local businesses and beyond is more beneficial than forcing them to shift abroad for low taxes.
🚨 "If a simple 40% tax were applied just on IPL profits, nearly ₹15,000 crores could have been raised over three years—enough to fund 10 new IITs" - IISc Professor Mayank Shrivastava.

The Pakistani PM (whatever the post means in that terrorist nursery) tweeted at 8:39 PM thanking the US for the ceasefire. Did the Army keep him out of the loop about the violations? This is Kargil and Nawaz Sharif all over again. Clowns! #IndiaPakistanWar2025 #ceasefire

In today’s episode of why you shouldn’t even buy from @SwiggyInstamart - I ordered an ice cream from Go Zero and instead got a melted puddle. That would have been fine but the stick was welded into the bar, so it was only when I bit onto it, I felt it. Pathetic! @SwiggyCares

It gets better. @SwiggyInstamart sent a delivery executive to pick up melted ice cream to my place. After they understood the stupidity they had been into, they promised a refund within 2 hours and conveniently forgot about it till I had to raise the issue again. @SwiggyCares

This should be a wake-up call to the virtual monopoly of certain businesses and how you need to be/have government official contacts to even resolve something as basic as your order spillage. Half of the times you see IAS officers get privileges - they are just basic…(1/2)

@Swiggy @SwiggyCares has turned into a complete joke - for the past few times that I order food, they cite an ETA of say, 20 mins which after 15 mins again increases to another 20 mins, ultimately delivering cold food. If you complain, you are given template msgs and no refunds

@SwiggyCares after their token reply on this thread did NOT reply to my DMs even after messaging a couple of times. The app help on the other hand offered to give me a token 50 rupees for a 250 rupees order which they delivered cold & soggy. Insane @Swiggy

The customer care is pathetic - they will frustrate you to the point of no return. There is ZERO accountability for any sort of quality of food or time of delivery. I wish we had a stricter regulatory mechanism for such dark pattern businesses to face the music. @SwiggyCares
