"they're watching you" "your data is being sold" "you’re being tracked" while all this is true, most users think 'we don't really have anything to hide' - and that mindset exists because privacy has been painted as extreme or political we need to redesign privacy privacy can look cool, calm, and as easy as locking your door if you believe in the privacy narrative (and especially if you don't) - come join us on the 19th at @EFDevcon's Womxn in Web3 Community Hub: "The Aesthetics of privacy: How we can normalize privacy instead of fear-mongering"

this is exactly why open source AI matters - it’s infuriating that we keep relying on these centralised black boxes one government order and Anthropic has to globally disable Fable 5 & Mythos 5 for everyone. Just like that. Poof the future belongs to open source Open source models can’t be disabled like that. The weights are public anyone can run them locally, on their own hardware, or through decentralized infrastructure no central switch exists for governments (or companies) to flip we’ve been warned - stop building single points of failure
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

I got to beta test the @Keycard_ wallet, and this is my live reaction to seeing the EIP-712 digest included in a Safe wallet signing request. (ZERO other wallets have this, but it makes verifying signatures MUCH easier) This is my genuine initial reaction.

🚨🚨Why did zcash:native drop ~40% today? A serious bug was publicly revealed today in Zcash’s Orchard (its main private/shielded transaction system, live since 2022). What the bug actually means: 1. It could have let someone create fake zcash:native out of thin air inside the private pool or 2. Double-spend (spend the same money twice) without anyone detecting it. 3. Basically, the system might have accepted invalid/fake transactions as real. This is called a “soundness bug”, the security check that should reject bad transactions failed in a sneaky way. Although, no funds were lost. Total ZEC supply (21 million cap) stayed protected but because everything is private, they can’t 100% prove it was never used. Why the big drop today? > The full details came out publicly today. > Markets panicked over the “what if it was exploited?” uncertainty. > Privacy coins depend heavily on trust in their math. Even with a fast fix, confidence took a hit. Team is now working on better ways to prove the private pool supply is clean.

a little sneak peek from my first of many apps on @Logos_network Basecamp - a clean, fully local-first reminders tool runs 100% isolated with no cloud, no telemetry, pure sovereignty

Most consensus protocols force you to pick either decentralization OR privacy OR reliability. Logos built a layer 1 that delivers all three. Ethereum chose decentralization but trades privacy & throughput. Solana chose speed but increased node requirements. Cosmos/Polkadot chose interoperability, but added complexity. λ Logos rejected the tradeoffs entirely. Cryptarchia runs on Private Proof of Stake (PPoS). This means as a validator your identity is hidden both BEFORE and AFTER you propose a block. No one can correlate your node to your blocks or can reverse engineer your stake from your on-chain activity. Cryptarchia was engineered to prioritize liveness over safety. The chain keeps producing blocks during failures. Forks can exist temporarily, but the protocol resolves them automatically without halting. Cryptarchia's fork choice rule adapts in real time: - Online nodes follow the longest honest chain - Nodes rejoining after downtime use a density-weighted rule - No permissioned set Every 1-second slot, eligible notes enter a lottery. Winners propose blocks with a zero-knowledge Proof of Leadership (PoL). Cryptarchia pairs with the Blend Network to close the loop. Even with secret leadership, timing analysis can leak. Blend obfuscates the proposer-block relationship so thoroughly that linking a node to its output becomes infeasible. There is no minimum stake to participate as a validator. There is no permission layer. High end hardware is not required. You can run it on a laptop as a background process. Go build something on λ that can't be silenced.

i have to say this - @naruto11eth is an absolute legend he helped me with so many of my questions around navigating this industry and always treated me like a lil sister. In a crypto space full of creeps (or people who aren’t helpful at all), he actually showed up and cared all the hate you’re getting is simply bs. Keep shining, we believe in you sending good energy your way🫶
Excited to share that last week I joined @polymarket as a senior engineer. Over the last few months, I talked to many many big teams in crypto, trying to figure out where I wanted to spend the next chapter of life. The deeper I went, the clearer I felt about where I wanted to be. Every time people ask me what crypto PMF I truly believe in, my answer has been the same for a while: Stablecoins, RPCs/Infra, Defi, Perps, Prediction Markets. Prediction markets is where I spent the last 12 months anyway (in my free time ofc away from avail): - shipped fast indexers for my TG bots to track positions - copytrading and early market discovery functionalities - built whale wallet discovery terminal tools for myself - built "PolyAave" for yield generation on your idle polymarket positions wtih Aave. This specific project got so much attention in DeFi and a few VCs that I considered going deeper - ended up figuring out leverage trading on prediction markets - build parlays prototypes - wrote up a whitepaper for yields and lev trading on prediction markets - some more interesting ideas for prediction markets that are sitting in my local PC. Overall, I was fascinated by the work Polymarket has been done and achieved, and it felt like a natural fit to me. I wanted to work at Polymarket and contribute to world markets. I’m excited to join a goated engineering team, led by @devjoshstevens who I’ve known almost 4 years now and have always respected him for his engineering aptitude. Getting to ship alongside him and the team he’s built is the kind of seat I didn't want to pass up. I also have deep respect and a lot to learn from leaders like @shayne_coplan, @williamlegate, @mustafap0ly, @cesare_naldi, @SuhailKakar and the rest of the crew, so I am looking forward to going full speed in shipping mode. We are heads down building and have got a lot of exciting things in the pipeline. We will be taking over everything, and, as Barney Stinson said, it's going to be legendary.🫡

A Japanese manga artist lost his entire Google account forever after he uploaded private files from an old comic he drew to Google Drive. Google’s AI checked the files and flagged them as not allowed. He asked Google to review it again, but they rejected his appeal and banned the account immediately. He can no longer access years of his private drawings and lost access to many websites and services that used his Google login. The artist said this is very embarrassing and causes him a lot of trouble. He warned that it might not happen to people who always follow every rule, but others should be careful. So Google is scanning files that people upload to its cloud storage even if they are supposed to be private. I wonder how long they have been doing this.

we hosted our first Logos Circle in Delhi-NCR, and it was all about: locals coming together, moving beyond complaining to the system, and brainstorming real, independent solutions for issues like: - waste & cleanliness, - stray dog management, - parking chaos, - children’s education gaps, and - mental health & loneliness we identified real problems in our society and brainstormed practical, ground-up solutions as civil society I’m truly grateful to be part of @Logos_network Circle - an initiative that’s quietly sparking a stronger Parallel society Big shoutout to @danisharora099 for coming all the way and giving us an excellent walkthrough of the Logos tech stack - really added great value! cheers to the beginning of small impacts before a big one!
