In 2018, I modeled for my friend who is a makeup artist at a studio in New Buka. She told us to wear off the shoulder tops and we did. It wasn’t a rule on campus not to wear it then. The shoot was early and we stepped out to New Market to get breakfast. A man starts catcalling us. We kept walking. We got our food and returned to the studio. About an hour later, the man barges into the studio, shouting “arrest them!” We were confused. For what? “They’re dressed indecently! Put them in the truck!” We were still confused. He said our shoulders are outside. We insisted on not going into the truck. When we didn’t steal. The photographer drove us in his car. We got there and they wanted to book us - take our pictures for display. We refused. They insulted us. The only woman there said “look at your faces. later, you’ll say they are raping you”. I couldn’t believe my ears. Look at the silly things you’ve listed as offences and the penalties you added. All for a committee of perverts and rape apologists. You’re such evil and wicked people. You will get what is coming to you.
