We reject the framing that protecting Canada's historic continuity and culture through immigration policy is somehow "hateful" or "intolerant". These comments from a public official - that law-abiding Canadians should be discriminated against based on their political views - are completely inappropriate. The Mayor should withdraw her remarks and apologize immediately. No matter their efforts, DomCon26 will happen and it will be the greatest gathering of Canadian nationalists in modern history.

That's not the big reveal. The big reveal is that the entire Buzzfeed journalism class has now grown up, have been promoted, and are fully in the authorship of major publications. That's a Buzzfeed headline and the Globe and Mail is now Buzzfeed

Translation: we were honest and as soon as we took flack for this moment of honesty, we back tracked and came up with a safe, innocuous title for the article.
