It’s a pure distillation of the subjunctive mood, which is at the root of almost all Millennial/Zoomer lingo. There is a hesitation, a hedging, permeating all of the new idioms; nothing can be sincere or passionate.
There is also a false first person plural element, a counterfeit claim of “we,” which diffuses personal agency or responsibility. Everything is about the group, not the individual. Life as one colossal school group project.
“Let” - subjunctive verb
“us” - counterfeit pronoun, obscured via contraction
“go” - conservation or serenity are not goods as high as movement—progress—but the telos is rarely defined; what counts is motion, change
The sum of it all is, rather ironically, total vacancy. Sound and fury signifying nothing.
