Subject: Public Records Request – Sheriff Nanos Device Use / Discipline / Gambling References

Under Arizona Public Records Law, A.R.S. § 39-121 et seq., I request copies of records from Jan. 1, 2023 to present concerning Sheriff Chris Nanos and any county-issued or county-paid phone, mobile device, internet account, or work device.
Please provide records showing:
Device assignment records for phones/devices issued to Sheriff Chris Nanos.
Usage logs, billing summaries, data usage records, and reimbursement records for those devices.
Policies governing employee/sheriff use of county phones, personal phones for county business, internet use, gambling, betting apps, and personal activity while on duty.
Any internal affairs, HR, disciplinary, reprimand, complaint, investigation, memo, email, or report referencing Chris Nanos and: gambling, sports betting, online betting, casino, sportsbook, FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, phone misuse, time theft, misuse of county equipment, or personal use while on duty.
Any records of discipline, counseling, reprimand, suspension, or corrective action involving Chris Nanos and phone/device/computer use.
Any communications between PCSD, Pima County HR, County Administration, or the Board of Supervisors about these topics.
If any portion is withheld, please identify the record, the legal basis for withholding, and provide all reasonably segregable non-exempt portions.
