GLM-5.2 is Fully Open, Frontier Intelligence Belongs to Everyone Today, the sudden restriction of certain frontier models is deeply regrettable. At a time when access to frontier models is abruptly cut off for non-technical reasons, we are even more convinced of one thing: science should be global. The path to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) must never be enclosed by high walls. We have always believed that AGI should be the cornerstone for all of humanity to collaboratively explore the boundaries of intelligence and solve complex challenges, rather than a privilege monopolized by a few rules and subject to revocation at any moment. In the face of external blockades and restrictions, our attitude is one of radical openness. Frontier intelligence must remain open-source, accessible, and buildable, serving every dedicated developer. GLM-5.2 is Zhipu's most capable open-source model to date. It not only supports a truly usable 1M context window but also maintains a continuous lead in the independent completion of long-horizon tasks, providing solid foundational support for building complex agent applications. It also continues to be our main engine for creating the strongest domestic coding model. Tonight at 5:21—at this special moment—GLM-5.2 will officially be available to all GLM Coding Plan users (including Lite / Pro / Max). The API will also go live next week. A step closer to frontier intelligence for everyone. The future of AI is open, and it is for the people. ModelKey: GLM-5.2

I see it as inevitable that large frontier models are nationalized in some way, but I do not think this admin is capable of competently doing so, and I oppose it overall as someone who believes deeply that intelligence and information should be accessible by all mankind

Fighting this rn at one job
we should start rethinking our software architectures to allow for the largest number of simultaneously operating agents over our codebases

You are far more dangerous to your startup than competitors are. A hundred times more startups die from poor execution by their founders than are killed by competitors.

What’s gonna be ur job in the Anthropic work camp? I suspect they’ll shove me into a clanker decommissioning squad and have me burning RAM until I die from emphysema

Non issue. Let the code flow. Every person a programmer.
People who are building stuff in Codex without proper coding knowledge scares me.

Tokens are going to zero, I don’t think you guys understand yet, but you will. The very frontier will remain expensive, the rest will be too cheap to meter
WSJ reports that OpenAI is weighing major cuts to token pricing as competition in the AI market intensifies.

Really cool results I will be diving into further
True agents model the world. Current training provides no separation between agent and environment: pre-training only trains world modeling, RL only agentic actions. We combine both using ECHO by @DimitrisPapail and @VaishShrivas.

Re: Fable, I think many AI companies suffer from a kind of institutional hangover in that they still see themselves as research labs when they're actually consumer software companies. Since ChatGPT, this has been the case - you are selling a product to consumers and so you have new, different obligations. A research lab can optimize for experiments and academic outcomes, but a product company has an obligation to its users. Anthropic is quite literally selling customers an INTENTIONALLY DEFECTIVE product! Without telling them! Sure maybe this makes sense for a research lab, but you are building consumer software dev tools!! You’re intentionally shafting your users, and the disrespect, the moral grandstanding of it all is infuriating. Anthropic should be fucking ashamed.

AI Safety is a smokescreen attempt to tell you “no we’re actually concerned about the existential risk” while they tear up democracy and build a new unelected overclass with zero transparency. This is also why they pretend doxxing is worse than sexual assault
