I'm not really here anymore, but would like to reiterate this protest advice.
It's sad that a country that was founded on direct democracy and protest is constantly looking for reasons to hurt people, but we need to be realistic about the situation at hand and protection needed.
Lab goggles are the better choice, but the best choice is a respirator with an eye cover, because that covers the entire eye area.
