As a Ukrainian immigrant, it's been horrific to see footage of this war and hear stories from friends and family about their attempts to escape and survive. Some friends and I started a non-profit that directly sends aid to Ukraine.

Great session with @AmyLucenta and @GraceKelemanik on redesigning IEP goals to focus on mathematical thinking because "goals drive expectations, interactions, and outcomes." Consider an IEP goal that says, "add decimals with 80% accuracy" vs this updated goal. #NCSMCHI24

Their advice for revising IEP goals is to have them aligned to mathematical thinking, build on strengths, and incorporate instructional strategies, like annotation, ask yourself questions, four Rs, turn and talks, and sentence frames.
