The Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching has received $0 funding in the FY26 NSF Budget. Without funding the #PAEMST, which has a 40 year history, will cease to exist. Please like and share this post & write to members of Congress to #SavePAEMST.

Sometimes people say that disasters are equalizers, which couldn’t be further from the truth. They are magnifiers of inequality and drivers of gentrification. Wealthier people are able to rebuild (though yes often at great personal cost) or they sell to other wealthy people. 🧵
