This by @timkellernyc (one of the last things he worked on before he passed into glory) is a crucial piece for all pastors, planters, ministry leaders, Christians in general. I plan to read this every year to re-calibrate to what matters most.

"I think the future of American Christianity increasingly is going to be drawing from diverse communities that are used to not being in centers of power."
"Don't wait to be asked to lead. There are incredible gifts that God has implanted in who we are, in our experiences, in the immigrant situation and beyond, that the rest of American Christianity needs us to steward well."
Dang guys, a Mister Softee on 5th Ave near the park costs $5.50?? Jesus defeated sin and death but we still living under that curse in this economy. SMH
Preacher, Christ is risen today! He got up from the grave. There is nothing you can do to add to or take away from the resurrection power He unleashed into this world. Preach with joy and confidence today! #Easter2025
"E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die: x3;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die."
This verse really got me at church today. 😭😭😭
So great to see this in the real world! Congrats to @LHGill and @missymwallace on this labor of love. Honored to have contributed an endorsement for it. Love the resources @RedeemerCTC is getting out there!
“My whole life has been a search for the miraculous: yet at the first faint flavor of the uncanny, I tend to turn rational and scientific.”
— Bruce Chatwin
What if the whole-life search is true, and the turn steers us wrong?

These mere 300 or so words are the very definition of prescient. Written 40 years ago (before the internet, smart phones, social media) they could not be more relevant. Neil Postman, Amusing Ourselves to Death. 💀💀💀
A Fire is Lit party last night with so many @RedeemerCTC staff, board & global leaders. Such a fun yet meaningful evening!
Ep 6 (of 8) just dropped. Join us as we remember God's faithfulness, celebrate his present work & commit to carry the torch into future. What a night!
The Trinitarian nature of God means Father, Son & Spirit are:
1. Distinct
2. Equal
3. One
Remove any one, you no longer have Nicene Xty.
As image bearers of this Triune God, our unity must also honor our diversity, insist on equality & reject exclusion.
A sanctified D.E.I.
When @timkellernyc taught preaching at @RedeemerCTC he did it in five sections:
1. Preach the text
2. Preach Christ
3. Preach grace
4. Preach to the heart
5. Preach to culture
Getting it right (1-3); getting it across (4-5).
I come back to that a lot. All are essential.
Great catching up with my man @michaelluo and honored to receive an advance copy of his much anticipated book Strangers in the Land, a narrative history of Chinese in America! Can't wait to dig in!

In an exciting new podcast, you’ll get to hear the behind-the-scenes story of how @timkellernyc answered the call to plant a church in NYC, which eventually led to the start of Redeemer City to City and the entire City to City global ecosystem: afireislit.substack.com/
Singing a new song of praise to God after visiting the new @RedeemerES building today for the first time! Loved seeing so many of my old staff team. (Miss you guys!) And grateful for the wisdom and legacy of Tim and Kathy Keller. 🥰
A perfect Sunday afternoon read! @hendrixart's remarkable graphic novel on the friendship of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. Myth as a doorway into spiritual joy. Highly recommend!
"Come everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
he who has no money,
come, buy, eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
your labor for that which does not satisfy? ...
... Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live;
Isaiah 55:1-3
🧵 The more I think about it the more I'm convinced that:
1. weekly Sabbath (7th day)
2. yearly Feasts (7/yr)
3. generational Jubilee (7th Sabbath year)
... were the three interlocking practices of inner, communal & public joy that structured the spiritual life of Israel.
There could be no inner or communal joy in Israel without the public joy of radically just & compassionate economic practices. Sabbath keeping & communal feasting become a stench to God when they severed from the radical economic practices of Sabbath year and Jubilee.
It was no mistake that Jesus' first public announcement of his mission was cast in Jubilee terms, the Year of the Lord's Favor (Lk 4, 16-21). He came to restore the spiritual infrastructure of God's people: the Lord of the Sabbath, the Host of the Banquet, the Jubilee of God.
