#NationalCancerSurvivorsDay is a chance to celebrate survivors and their experiences. We're grateful to our advocates who share their stories to help fight cancer. We'll continue to honor you by advocating for policies to improve the quality of life for patients and survivors.
Guenevere is a survivor thanks to #CancerResearch. Because her cancer is rare, there aren’t many standard treatment options. In case it recurs, she would rely on new treatments to survive. That's why increased funding is essential for her to keep living. researchvoices.fightcancer.o…
Thank you @AbdulElSayed for responding to @ACSCAN’s #CancerVotes question today of where you stand on Access to Health Care! We’re urging all candidates in this race to answer our questions so voters know you’ll prioritize cancer patients if elected.
This week, the House passed the Women and Lung Cancer Research and Preventive Services Act, which identifies opportunities to advance #LungCancer research and early detection.
Women and families impacted by this disease can't wait. We urge the Senate to quickly pass this bill.

.@vincemarchetta1, who lost his wife to cervical cancer traveled to Washington, D.C., to urge lawmakers to strengthen funding for cancer research, saying federal investment through @NIH can mean more time — & eventually more lives saved. @wtaptelevisionwtap.com/2026/06/02/clinical…
An alarming trend is surfacing: the re-glamorization of tobacco use, driven by the tobacco industry.
Research shows that media exposure to smoking imagery among young people makes them more likely to start using tobacco products like cigarettes and e-cigarettes.
But the rate of tobacco product use among kids is unacceptable.
As tobacco use causes about 343,000 cancer deaths in the U.S. every year, we must continue our work to reduce tobacco use in the fight against cancer.
Fight CRC joined @ACSCAN and 60 cancer patient and provider organizations in urging Secretary Kennedy to protect the integrity of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF).
USPSTF recommendations guide access to lifesaving preventive services, including colorectal cancer screening, and help determine which services many insurance plans must cover at no cost to patients.
The Task Force is due to review colorectal cancer screening recommendations, but it has not met publicly in more than a year. Continued disruption could put access to preventive care at risk for millions of Americans.
Prevention and early detection save lives, and Fight CRC will continue to advocate for policies that protect access to evidence-based screening and prevention.

.@CMSGov's rule on #Medicaid work requirements makes it more difficult for people who are medically frail, including #CancerPatients, to be exempt. This adds a burdensome process and risks the loss of health insurance coverage—a matter of life or death. fightcancer.org/releases/new…

This year, more than 2 million people will hear the words 'you have cancer.' The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) helps ensure they have access to the screenings and preventive services that catch cancer early, often before those words are ever spoken. NCL and 59 other orgs joined @ACSCAN in urging Secretary Kennedy to protect the integrity of this critical, science-driven body. ow.ly/84BQ50Z4W29
