Prof. Fonn notes that if universities are to be the engine of development, we have to be transdisciplinary in our approach. Within the academic community, she highlights the need to give those coming up the skills and capacity to succeed and contribute to impact in the society.

It was a pleasure and an honor to share a panel with you, @udnore and @chinwe_ochu, and to listen to many others address #equity in #globalhealth #Partnership. Keep up the great work!

So good to spend time w/ these 2 inspirational scientists. @aezeh spoke passionately abt opportunities to fund #African institutions for excellence & endurance, not charity. @chinwe_ochu spoke abt intellectual equality & respect & donors funding country agendas. 💪🏾 #globalhealth

I am saddened by the passing of Prof. George Patton. George was a brilliant mind & a generous soul I had d pleasure of co-chairing d 2nd Lancet Comm. on Adolescent Health & Wellbeing with. His passing is a huge loss to d Global &Adolescent health communities. Rest in Peace George
It is with great sadness that we advise that Professor George Patton passed away on the 7 Dec 22. Prof George Patton was an eminent Adolescent Psychiatrist & Psychiatric Epidemiologist whose career focused on improving the health of adolescents, in Australia & across the globe.
