Really great poster presentation by one of KIDS resident drs at @PICSociety annual conference comparing neurosurgical transfers by local and specialist paed retrieval teams. Who is quicker? Specialist teams appear to be quicker but more detailed analysis needed.

1/2 @MurrayfieldStad your security/crowd marshals should be ashamed of themselves at the dangerous entry they just caused. Not allowing those of us that had been here since yesterday morning queuing to walk-in in single file which caused those behind to start running and pushing.

2/3 As we entered the pitch the marshals had no control. People were running and pushing. The marshals were blocking the side of barrier as we entered which caused more running. I was physically pushed by one of the marshals & I was walking.

3/3 This then was a major contributing factor to my friend tripping & falling & crashing onto the barrier on her shoulder & jarring her back. It could have been a serious injury. None of this was necessary if your staff just listened to the fans. This is my official complaint.

1/3 The @NHSEngland is so broken! Absolutely shocking @nhsuhcw ED right now. Sent there by 111 both breathing difficulties. Told to attend at 16.00hrs. Minder posing as a nurse (I can say that as a nurse myself!) gave the only option as waiting 5 hours to be seen in ED as they..

2/3 Don’t recognise attending times from 111! So either wait outside (the waiting room was full!) or go away! I’ve chosen to go to our local walk in centre as waiting 5 hours not an option as I can’t speak in full sentences I’m so breathless! If someone doesn’t die in that…

3/3 waiting room today I’d be shocked! @NHSEngland @nhsuhcw you need to do better! Hopefully there will be more compassion and assessment ability in @hospitalofstx To note, I refused an ambulance as I know how hard pressed the service is. This is not right in 2024!

1/2 @EMASNHSTrust so I’ve just attended an alert sent from @GoodSamApp. The family were very welcoming, trusting & grateful. However not so from the ambulance crew. I felt dismissed by them and heard them say ‘oh she’s the good sam person’ …

Great discussion about whether we take a parent/family member with you when undertaking patient transfers. The faculty today are split. What do you do? Discuss… @alsg #NAPSTaR #transportmedicine

Sadly this is not an isolated case…bullying is often ‘allowed’ to happen in many trusts as HR just don’t know how to deal with it. After experiencing it twice in my career & it wasn’t dealt with I will hesitate to report it if it happens again. #bullying standard.co.uk/news/health/q…
