Working smoking alarms alerted a family of 4 after fire broke out in there home shortly after 1am Wednesday morning on Old Second S When fire crews arrived the home was fully involved. Crews worked throughout the night to bring it under control. Damage estimate is $400,000.00

To anyone who says “oh, you’re JUST a volunteer,” to a volunteer fire fighter, who usually also has a full time career, please know that my partner is at a fire call right now, on New Year’s Eve, during Covid, helping his community because he loves it - and he’s fully trained😀

The Anten Mills Christmas Tree Lighting has been rescheduled for tonight at 6:30pm. The festivities will include fireworks, hot chocolate and apple cider, and visits by Santa and Sparky! Please remember to wear a mask and bring an item for the Food Bank if you are able to donate.
