A fantasy of freakish size, that would cost our sovereignty, is unlikely to be realised. Oh and no plan for nuke waste disposal. AUKUS is cactus. As it should be.

Here’s Admiral Mead in June 2024; a man without so much as a tiny understanding of project risk, running a $368B program on hope alone. #AUKUS #auspol
In May 2023 Admiral Mead told the Senate we’d get two second-hand Virginia subs from the US, but thereafter we’d get new ones. Now, for this most incredibly overpriced sub program, we’re only getting second-hand subs and Minister Marles thinks that’s great 🤦‍♂️. #AUKUS #auspol

🚨 Don’t be fooled: Australia is up to its neck in supporting the US in the illegal war on Iran. ▪️Pine Gap spy base intel being used by the US for targeting of missile and bomb strikes in Iran ▪️NW Cape communications base assisting US killer subs including against Iran ▪️ Australia has a military base in Gulf region at ADF Middle East Headquarters at Al Minhad Airbase in UAE ▪️100 military personnel of Joint Task Force 633 stationed at the ADF Middle East Headquarters at Al Minhad Airbase in UAE ▪️50 RAN personnel serving on US nuclear submarines, including in Middle East area ▪️Australian ADF personnel (number not disclosed) are embedded in the Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC) of the forward headquarters of CENTCOM, the US Central Command at the Udeid Airbase in Qatar. ▪️85 personnel deployed to support the E-7A Wedgetail battle management aircraft operating out of Al Minhad base ▪️16 personnel deployed with US’s Combined Maritime Forces at the US Fifth Fleet Headquarters in Bahrain ▪️ADF personnel deployed in support of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAMs) provided to UAE for use with UAE F-16 fighters ▪️Unknown numbers of SAS special forces soldiers as well as ASIS intelligence agents likely deployed to locations in Gulf area. ▪️E7-A Wedgetail battle coordination aircraft deployed to UAE and integrated with US military operations ▪️C-17A Globemaster transport plane deployed to UAE ▪️KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker midair refueler deployed to UAE Canberra says Australia is “not involved” because it is not dropping the bombs itself. That is the usual deception. But modern war is not just the aircraft over the target.  Australia is providing intelligence architecture, intelligence collection, communication systems, military intelligence specialists, and the political cover that helps support the illegal war. In a globally networked world, it is the satellite feed, the launch detection, the target support, the command post, the battle management platform, the submarine signals, the refuelling base, the overflight corridor, the embedded officers inside the coalition forces.  The country that provides those things is not outside the war, but is an intricate part of it. Superb political ad. One of the best you’ll see. This is better, and resonates more, than anything coming from Labour or the Tories.

Politicians like Keir Starmer and Anthony Albanese have enabled Israel’s genocide in Gaza and materially support US-Israeli war crimes in Iran and Lebanon. Then they visit our mosques on days like Eid, expecting smiles, selfies and photo ops. What did they think would happen?
Australia's prime minister has been booed and shouted at by protesters during a visit to the country's largest mosque. Anthony Albanese and Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke attended Eid prayers at Lakemba Mosque on Friday morning

🚨 At the state level in NSW, the Australian Greens are polling at 36% among 18-34 year olds, a MASSIVE increase compared to October. The Greens have overtaken Labor. 📈

The good thing about the clearly mentally challenged Rutte is that he is too dumb to window-dress things. Here he literally explains how NATO is a tool of US-Israeli hyper-imperialism over which Europeans have no control.
It's obligatory to refer to NATO as a "defensive alliance" even as it attacks countries that have not even threatened NATO countries. Here Rutte explains that the role of NATO also entails projecting power around the world.

A US nuclear submarine just sank an Iranian frigate off the coast of Sri Lanka, leaving the survivors to drown. I asked Wong if any of the 50 or more Australians stationed on US nuclear submarines in the Pacific were on this submarine. The Government refused to answer.

From Afghanistan to Iraq, we have seen it time and time again, the US betraying the people it said it would protect. The US is not a force for peace, Trump does not care about the Iranian people and the US and Israel are not bombing Iran for peace.

🚨 WATCH: Zack Polanski says Keir Starmer is dragging the UK into “another illegal war” “We must immediately withdraw permission for the US to use UK bases… we need to think about our own national security”

Allowing British bases to be used in an illegal war of aggression is a catastrophic and historic mistake. Britain has been dragged into another war because our Prime Minister would rather appease Donald Trump than stand up for international law. War is not a game. This shameful decision makes Britain complicit in the devastating consequences ahead - and jeopardises the safety of us all.

It is wild that European countries want to join a war that was started illegally by and for a man who is wanted for war crimes and genocide by their *own* institutions.

We now see you for what you are. The three war parties: One Nation, the Coalition and Labor who have never seen a US war they don't want to back in. Millions of Australians disagree with you. They want a government of principle, they want a government of peace.

‘Kettling’ and ‘charging’ Monday’s protest crowd was entirely inappropriate. 🚨 Who ordered the police present to do it, and how high did the decision go? ▪️Kettling is a robust physical police crowd control technique of encirclement. ▪️It was used on Monday initially as containment to stop any marching…. ▪️However, it was then used as corralling for a phalanx of police apparently ordered to violently charge the crowd, shouting and running with horses and pepper spray and shoving running people, so causing the expected panic and fleeing. ▪️This is a particular violent control measure uncalled for on the slowly-dispersing peaceful but noisy crowd on Monday. ▪️Kettling is a risky technique and on other occasions has led to serious injury causing hospitalisation of fleeing crowd members, and even one death in another place. 👉 Here is film of the kettling used by police on the crowd outside the Sydney Town Hall on Monday. 👇
Replying to @Longfordslasher
Incontrovertible evidence of the police hemming in protesters, preventing them from leaving(kettling) and attacking them. They started this from before the speeches had even ended. The police commissioner is proud of this. He needs to resign with Minns.

The same police force that bashed, Hannah Thomas also bashed peaceful protestors on Monday afternoon. Both ran in global media. If you don't think we're increasingly seen around the world as a different flavour of Trumpland, you're deluding yourself. #auspol #qt

Police I asked in the Townhall Square couldn’t say which way was okay to head to leave the area. Several individual officers seemed equally puzzled — said they had been briefed with no information on how to advise about the way to leave the rally in the square. Aren’t the police service supposed to be there to assist the public?
Crikey was on the ground at the Sydney protest against Israeli President Isaac Herzog. We captured the confusion about how and where protesters should leave the rally, beginning with a heated discussion between NSW Police and NSW Greens MPs.

2/2 That rightwing politicians, activists and media suggest we the protesters were an actual threat to Jewish people is either a vicious targetted smear or a paranoid delusion
1/2 Honestly, the only Jewish people in any danger in Sydney on Monday night as president Herzog was feted at the (wrong) ICC were the anti-Zionist and/or antiwar Jewish people protesting alongside the rest of us at Town Hall Square, and that danger was from the NSW Police
