A new Washington Post poll has @Janeese4DC ahead of @kenyanmcduffie in the D.C. mayoral race by 11 points, and also ahead when ranked-choice voting is factored in. Respondents view her as better in affordability and education, while McDuffie is leading on public safety.

This is Donna Cooper. Previously Pepco’s top lobbyist. She got him to kill an energy affordability measure in 2018. It costs DC families $300-$500 a year.

There was a proposal to build this 9 years ago: @tweetelissa wanted to redirect funds from subsidizing parking in Union Market for this. @kenyanmcduffie opposed it.
Elissa and Kenyan are on the ballot this month. This is indicative of their priorities.

The new NoMa Metro entrance on 3rd St facing toward Union Market would genuinely save people like 3 minutes of walking, which doesn’t sound like much but it’s a 33% expansion of the 10 minute walkshed and would include a lot of the biggest and newest developments in the area
