Out of 4 frontier models - Gemini is the stupidest. My kid has home task to paste some photos w/ father for Father's Day. I gave photos to Gemini to create a collage. Then I asked it to re-arrange in a diff way & it said it does not have access to my personal photos! WTF!! 🙄

Then I gave the same prompt & photos to ChatGPT & it did a good job in 1st attempt, but needed some adjustment. I told it what needs to be adjusted & it produced good result which I can use.

I wonder what the heck has Google been doing. Given how poorly Gemini does in pretty much everything - where have they been pouring the money?
And to think of it - Google used to be at the forefront of ML & AI systems. Now its just becoming another dinosaur.

1. h/w prices have been up since last yr. Predicting it 5 months ago wasn't any great insight.
2. Only Fable/Mythos has been restricted.
3. Saying local models would get powerful is like saying Sun will rise tomorrow. Yes they'll keep improving. But still way behind Opus.

I did this because I predicted:
• Hardware prices would explode
• Governments would start limiting LLM usage
• Local models would get way more powerful
“AI influencers” torched me for this. Called me a dangerous hype merchant
Literally 100% of these predictions came true
Mac Studios above 100gb are not even sold anymore. Fable 5 got banned. The newest local models are Opus level
And now these same influencers are tweeting local models are the future
The good news for them is they are now actually correct about something
In the next year we will all have Fable running on our desks
Unlimited super intelligence running securely and privately

Updates to productivity software like IDEs or their plugins etc should stick to a schedule. Releasing updates randomly & frequently (as in every 4-5 days) is disruptive to work & really annoying!

Good ruling by Delhi HC. There's no point in having a trademark if someone can just pay some ₹₹ to hijack users looking for that trademark.
The Delhi High Court just ruled against Google in a trademark case that every Indian founder needs to know about!!
Hindware sued because searches for "Hindware" returned competitor ads - Cera, Grohe, above their own listing. Customers looking specifically for Hindware were being intercepted at the moment of highest intent.
The court ruled it trademark infringement. Competitor keyword bidding on your brand name is now legally actionable in India.
Search your brand name on Google right now.
If a competitor's ad appears before yours, you have a case, and your competitor has a problem.
This reshapes performance marketing in India. Keyword bidding on competitor names is standard practice across every category - beauty, fintech, edtech, D2C.
The brands doing it most aggressively are also the ones most exposed to this ruling. Let's see how this pans out.

So I've been dependent on cabs for last 2 weeks. I had only @Uber_India & @Olacabs on my phone but installed @rapidobikeapp as well.
I've got untidy cabs w/ busted ACs on both Uber & Ola while only clean cabs w/ functioning ACs on Rapido. Amazing! 😐

In a cab which will charge me ₹188 for 6.8 km - that's ~₹27/km. It's 43°C out there but the AC in this cab is busted & it's untidy. WTF @Uber_India?!
Such cabs & owners should be banned from all apps. 🤬

Some people use perfume/deo to mask any body odour that might come from them.
And there are some who use them to act as human room freshener.
One such human has just walked into cafe I'm sitting in & man... that dude has put on strong smell. Head has started to ache now! 🤕
