If an alien had to describe the Israeli Palestinian conflict in the most generic way possible, it would probably sound like this:
Two groups are fighting over the same piece of land.
Both have historical, cultural, and emotional ties to it.
Both have harmed each other, not equally, but undeniably.
One side is roughly a thousand times stronger.
That stronger side proposes splitting the land so both groups can live there.
The weaker side rejects any split and insists the land must belong exclusively to them.
No compromise. No coexistence. Only total ownership.
From orbit, stripped of slogans and flags, that is the conflict.
