Hello @DrinkPrime , your service is pathetic. Your call waiting is 16 min!! Like never heard that in any customer service. On top of that even after requesting several callbacks for relocation, nobody has reached out. @manasishere - please intervene

If you are a millennial and you want to read only one thing today, it would be this!
The Ghosts We Inherit: India's 'New Money' Story My mother reuses tea leaves until the water runs clear. My friend's father keeps a wooden box in his closet, with carefully folded bills arranged by denomination. Another's maintains a small diary tracking every household expense down to the last rupee. These aren't quirks – they're battle scars from a generation that survived on less. We are their children. We carry their financial trauma in our wallets, even as we tap them against sleek payment terminals at craft coffee shops.

The caste census is now an unstoppable idea. The critical question of whether 90% of our population is meaningfully represented in India’s institutional structure - economy, government, education - demands an answer. At its core, this is an issue of fairness and justice. Anything less than a comprehensive caste census, along with an economic and institutional survey is unacceptable.

You kept standing, no matter what they said and did to you…you never backed down whatever the odds, never stopped believing however much they doubted your conviction, you never stopped fighting for the truth despite the overwhelming propaganda of lies they spread, and you never allowed anger and hatred to overcome you, even when they gifted it to you every day. You fought with love, truth and kindness in your heart. Those who could not see you, see you now, but some of us have always seen and known you to be the bravest of all. @RahulGandhi, I am proud to be your sister ❤️ Image courtesy - @Malicartoonist

RT @atul_kulkarni: WHAT a relief ! You’re the ONLY sane and calm voice Dr Roy, in the otherwise highly repulsive and cringeworthy media……

Today proves that they can be defeated. If not today, then tomorrow, but they can be defeated. You have no idea how much power that belief has. For someone who had lost all hope like me, you have no idea.

When you are so far away from the reality of India, you make such comments. UPSC exam is the last leveller remaining. Otherwise the rich and the privileged continue their march ahead

Indian youth will greatly benefit if the number of UPSC IAS attempts are limited to just 2. It's counterintuitive, but a larger # of attempts is a national waste.

I wish it was as simple as just mugging up facts, it looks like that from outside but it isn't and I don't have energy to explain the entire exam process. Ek to ye coders ko lagta hai duniya me bus yahi log tarakki kar rahe hai baki sab to ch**** hai.
Ek toh for this UPSC exam half the country's youth in it's prime age spends time mugging up random facts. Then the outcome of the process is 1. most people going back to their old career paths, losing few years 2. tiny fraction getting through only to turn into corrupt bureaucrats 3. even tinier fraction of that trying to remain honest and being transferred every year 4. steady stream of suicides from that pool of students Then some media company comes and "nostalgia-fies" this and mints money turning this into a template and churning out 5 different TV series out of it, which mostly is being watched by the same people who should probably not be watching TV but studying for the said exams 🤡

Work from home is a scam, people sleep in bed, eat in bed, work in bed, watch movies in bed. Productivity decreases by 50 percent and lifestyle diseases increase by 100 percent.

The outrage over the refusal of a Gujarati-dominated housing society to allow a #Maharashtrian woman to rent an apartment/ office at Mulund in #Mumbai is not the first such instance of housing apartheid directed at #Marathi speakers in their own capital. The roots of this discrimination run deep in #history. Some political activists got together and ensured that the father-son duo in the Mulund society apologised to the woman. But soon, it will be back to business for them. At least, until the next outrage… Even today, there is no clarity over whether that silly "rule" which was cited as the basis for the denial has been rolled back. Why poor..become rich energy!
For a city that claims to be home to so many people who are obsessed with and seemingly good at making money, I find people from there to be really bad at knowing how to spend money wisely. They live in shitty, small houses and travel like this ? It’s so hard to understand.

Stumbled upon the @basecspodcast recently and thought why not refresh some basics I studied almost 20 years ago. Never thought CS could be taught with so much fun and banter. Kudos to @vaidehijoshi & @saronyitbarek

Personal View:Dunzo worked because of VC funded money discounting delivery charges. They stopped giving free deliveries last year and we stopped using the service. Moved to Zepto. If Zepto does the same, we walk to the local kirana store. VC money won’t change habits 🤷
