Is it possible that AI is similar to airlines, where the product is so undifferentiated that it ends up being a crappy business? Esp using the API, where swapping out an API key is easy, I could see it, where you are just bargain hunting and swapping every few months.

We need a fully electric Tesla RV with Starlink tightly integrated, wings to collect solar, Full Self Driving, a roof deck level for outdoor hangs, and Grok AI heavily involved for voice control / companion.
An RV?!!!!!!

Dear Apple, please make a display that integrates (almost) all peripherals to eliminate clutter: a microphone arm that swings out and can be tucked away / folded in, a ring light around the entire bezel, a hardcore webcam, and an integrated stand w all plausible ports, like 16.

The railyard leading into Caltrain at 4th and King is a juicy lot that would be a fantastic undergrad campus focused on Biotech. Close to UCSF Mission Bay hospitals & tech companies, take Caltrain to South Bay. Imagine the internships and hiring of new grads. Win win win
This should just be UCSF becoming a full university. Undergraduate enrollment in the UCs has been stalled for a couple years now. We're clearly in need of more capacity.

For the first time in the US, more babies are now born to moms 40–44 than 15–19. This marks 2 historical shifts for the US, plummeting teen pregnancy and gradually rising fertility for older women.

Seeing haters of the ultra thin iPhone Air, but anyone who carries their phone in their pants pocket - almost all men and many women - will be interested. Having to take it out when sitting is especially annoying. iPhone Air perm Low Battery Mode to offset smaller battery 😍

1/6 Images of the rumoured iPhone 17 series are making the rounds, and the so-called iPhone 17 Air is the most interesting one. It’s incredibly slim, as thin as the side buttons. Question most folks are asking is, Did we ask for a thinner phone?

A monthly subscription to a sports gambling site to get better odds is a smart business move but a dark turn for society. Gambling already ruins many lives. The ability to do it from your phone 24/7, and now this likely “Amazon Prime effect” technique, will ruin many more.
Very late here, but some thoughts on DraftKings "Buy Better Parlay Odds" via a $20/month subscription (link to story in replies): 1. Parlay payouts are a black box. Not regulated at all. DK could give you a "boost" of 10% on your payout while simultaneously reducing the base payout from 6x to 5x. And then it's not a "boost" at all. 2. What we do know is that parlays are the most profitable form of betting for all books. They're holding 20-30% (or more) of each parlay from 99% of bettors. DK's stated goal is to get more people to bet more parlays, with as many legs as possible. 3. That said, people LOVE the "bet a little to win a lot" model. It's entertainment, losing 20-30% in EV for a sweat with your boys during a game is a fine deal. As long as people have their eyes open to this, great. Have fun. 4. If you do care about getting your money in good, and think you are because you know ball... I have bad news. Almost every SGP or parlay I see tweeted out on this site is expected to lose an insane amount. Yes, maybe you disagree with our projections/sims. We can certainly be wrong. But I don't think we are so far wrong that you can overcome betting a parlay at 11-1 when we make the fair price 21-1. 5. The tax rates on sportsbook gaming revenue in states like New York are absurdly high. I'm no CPA, but I'd guess subscription revenue is not taxed as hard. Which makes the $20/month a sweet play, business wise.

I asked ChatGPT for my total lifetime chance of getting these cancers in absolute terms if I never drank, versus moderately drank. Non-drinkers: 7.5% Moderate drinkers: 9.2%
NEW: Today, I’m releasing a Surgeon General’s Advisory on the causal link between alcohol consumption and increased cancer risk. Alcohol is the 3rd leading preventable cause of cancer in the U.S., contributing to about 100,000 cancer cases and 20,000 cancer deaths each year.

Yep, investing in alcohol is catching a falling knife. There’s enough data and content out there reminding you that it’s bad, that health conscious people cannot ignore anymore. Sleep tracking confirms this. Also support groups online to help you quit. Weed a legal alternative.

Investing in alcohol is like catching a falling knife right now. People don’t drink like they used to, esp those under ~35. My guess is that remote work foot traffic loss, a weird part of DTO Oakland, and a decline in liquor drinking is the majority of the problem here…

I made ChatGPT my default search when typing into the Chrome top bar, replacing Google as my default search engine. It's superior ~8/10 times, with the exception being stuff like the Google Maps integration. I am asking it way more questions than I would Google. Give it a try!
