She had already spent 23 years teaching students, raising 3 children, and managing an entire household.
But at 48, Anita Kapdi quietly opened a new notebook and registered for CA.
A Commerce graduate from Mumbai, Anita got married at 22 and moved to Gujarat, where life became a balance of school, home, and responsibility.
She began her teaching career at 23 as an Art and Craft teacher in a CBSE school, later discovering her passion for Mathematics and Accountancy.
Alongside teaching, she completed her B.Ed and
M.Com, building herself step by step.
After 23 years in teaching, she was ready for retirement, until her father’s words changed everything.
A Company Secretary, he felt he had done her a “disfavour” by not encouraging CA earlier.
That thought became her mission: to gift him her CA degree on his 75th birthday.
In 2012, at 48, she registered for CA via ICAI’s Direct Entry Route.
With no coaching, she cleared IPCC in her first attemp.
Then came life’s toughest phase. Her daughter’s wedding, her son’s board exams, family commitments, and the loss of her mother-in-law just 10 days before her CA Finals.
Still, she refused to give up.
At 52, she became a CA, proving it is never too late to begin again.
