but there is an underlying stiffnes that is so awkward to navigate, and even harder to articulate. Personally, it doesnβt bother me because I donβt rely on social approval from my colleagues but it does affect my career, and thatβs tough to deal with. /3

make small talk but when it comes to real conversation, they wonβt do it. Iβve seen colleagues have warm, proper conversations with others and open up well, and there is an energy there that has NEVER been directed towards me. With me it looks perfectly amicable on the surface /2

What a lot of people donβt understand about being an ethnic minority in the workplace is that even if you havenβt had to experience overt racism, or even covert racism, what is exhausting is that a lot of colleagues just wonβt speak to you. Theyβll be polite and /1

I cannot recommend this course enough - just finished the bootcamp a few weeks back and the fact I can understand code after just 4 months, have interviews lined up and all the lovely people you meet still blows my π§

And just like that 16 week bootcamp has ended.
I loved every minute of @theSchoolOfCode I loved every one of my felow bootcamper, I thank all my coaches and my mentor. School of code has changed my life. And now I will have a career that I will be proud of and happy.
