i wanted a huge jewellery collection but every time i looked through different brands, i found myself staring at the prices more than the jewellery 😭 the artsy part of my brain was like, “wait… i can make this.” so i texted @mehekprabhakar and asked if she’d be interested in making jewellery together. turns out she had been thinking about the exact same thing. we went shopping for materials, spent hours making jewellery, and somehow ended up creating 6-7 pieces. then we started playing around with clay and making tiny cute things just because it was fun. a few days ago, we were texting and thought, what if we hosted a workshop where people could make jewellery using beads and clay? so we did what every overexcited person does. researched venues, pricing, registrations, materials, made a form, put up a post, and hoped for the best. ngl, we were terrified. what if nobody signs up? what if people don’t like it? what if this whole thing flops? instead, the event got sold out 😭 we even had to increase the capacity because people kept asking if they could still join. today felt so wholesome. seeing everyone sit together, make things with their hands, talk, laugh, create, and leave wearing something they made themselves was honestly the best feeling. huge thank you to everyone who showed up, trusted two girls with a random idea, stayed till the end, and were so patient with us through everything. what started as “let’s make jewellery for ourselves” somehow turned into a room full of people creating together, and that’s kind of crazy to think about. my heart is so full. thank you for trusting us 🌸✨❤️

People underestimate the effect that Buy Now Pay Later is going to have on the world. Corporations are making credit too easy to use for most people, and in the generation of instant gratification BNPL makes short term games the easiest to win.

College was so unreal, it was either a holiday, or I would make it one.

College is wasted on the young. I used to skip classes. Grown adult me would kill to spend eight hours a day reading books and listening to lectures.

A key point in Fahrenheit 451 is that books were banned because they made people depressed and uncomfortable. The novel's protagonist, Montag, is taken into custody after he reads a poem that makes a woman cry because she realizes the emptiness of her life.
i’m strongly against people writing devastatingly depressing books that then get loads of critical acclaim and endorsement for their “great writing” if you can produce “great writing” maybe don’t install harmful mind viruses into everyone who picks up your book just a thought
