🍄 Experience FungiSync at #Devcon2024! As this year Devcon Artist Cohort, I'm showcasing my latest artwork—FungiSync—a #MixedReality ritual where you'll immerse into mycelial networks. Shake hands to sync and blend other realities, mirroring the fungal resource exchange in the mysterious Wood Wide Web! 🍄✨ Let's celebrate #Mycopunk! How to play: 1Come to our booth near Entrance. Go to infinitegarden.art to find the installation Map. 2Follow me and my lab @realitydeslab 3RT this post to play the rituals! #MixedReality #Ethereum #Devcon #ArtistCohort

We introduce epiplexity, a new measure of information that provides a foundation for how to select, generate, or transform data for learning systems. We have been working on this for almost 2 years, and I cannot contain my excitement! 1/7

I’m optimistic about “consortium consistency” - combining responses from different LLMs. I expect many AI use cases where minimising hallucinations low cost will be more important than frontier reasoning performance, which these approaches might be good for.

🚨New Paper 🎻 On Bob Dylan: A Computational Perspective In this work, I use LLM (o3) to explore how @bobdylan's ever-evolving lyrical themes break expectations and challenge convention (i.e., dishabituation). This method can be used an artist’s cultural and creative evolution in general.

New @AIatMeta paper explains when a smaller, curated dataset beats using everything. Standard training wastes effort because many examples are redundant or wrong. They formalize a label generator, a pruning oracle, and a learner. From this, they derive exact error laws and sharp regime switches. With a strong generator and plenty of data, keeping hard examples works best. With a weak generator or small data, keeping easy examples or keeping more helps. They analyze 2 modes, label agnostic by features and label aware that first filters wrong labels. ImageNet and LLM math results match the theory, and pruning also prevents collapse in self training. ---- Paper – arxiv. org/abs/2511.03492 Paper Title: "Why Less is More (Sometimes): A Theory of Data Curation"

⚫️ I threw the data from Merge by @muratpak into Unreal Engine to visualize all 29k m tokens and 3k merges in real-time 3D. Switching between the beginning vs now to show how things changed in 4 months. Not sure where to take this yet...would be fun to let everyone try it!

Sakana AI is building artificial life and they can evolve! Petri Dish Neural Cellular Automata (PD-NCA) let multiple NCA agents learn and adapt during simulation, not just after training. Each cell updates its own parameters via gradient descent, turning morphogenesis into a living ecosystem of competing, cooperating, and ever-evolving entities—showing emergent cycles and persistent complexity growth. Everyone's trying to create the perfect standard for agents. We follow the opposite approach: we pick small, specific problems and standardize those. Glad to announce the creation of the Lightweight Standard Agent Working Group!

Tired to go back to the original papers again and again? Our monograph: a systematic and fundamental recipe you can rely on! 📘 We’re excited to release 《The Principles of Diffusion Models》— with @DrYangSong, @gimdong58085414, @mittu1204, and @StefanoErmon. It traces the core ideas that shaped diffusion modeling and explains how today’s models work, why they work, and where they’re heading. 🧵You’ll find the link and a few highlights in the thread. We’d love to hear your thoughts and join some discussions! ⚡ Stay tuned for our markdown version, where you can drop your comments!

The most momentous shift in our understanding of the universe arguably predated Copernicus. The breakthrough wasn't moving the origin of the coordinate system from the Earth to the Sun, but the radical 6th century BCE idea that Earth floats in space like other celestial bodies.
