I am excited to share that I will be starting a lab at @EmoryUniversity this September. We will aim to understand evolution by studying genomes of things ranging from viruses to humans. Looking for talented students and postdocs to do computational genomics. Get in touch! 1/2

Happy to share a recent work from my lab, led by @dawnschen and Minhao Li: The origination of a novel social behavior the function and evolution of female sexual behavior. We had so much fun working on this project with several jaw-dropping moments!

Curious about the tenants of mating system models of complex life cycles from evolutionary perspective? Join @jenna_hulke as she unravels details of A.renale, trematode parasite, & explores the dynamics of inbreeding depression. Cimmaron/130 🦠#Evol2023

Our new study shows that data availability statements are not very useful; 1670 (93%) authors who indicated that data are available on request either did not respond or declined to share their data with us. Journal of Clinical Epidemiology: doi.org/10.1016/j.jclinepi.2…

In this study, we talk about the possible distributional patterns one can observe from parasites that infect paired organs. We examine how an adult trematode, A. Renale, is distributed in the paired antennal glands of grass shrimp @AmSocParasit
Learn what outcomes researchers found then they studied the within-host distribution of Alloglossidium renale, which as adults, infects the paired antennal glands of the Mississippi grass shrimp Palaemonetes kadiakensis. doi.org/10.1645/21-2

One of my pre-grad school collaborative research linking colors morphs and a supergene in one locus controlling morphology and color patterning. And outcrossed individuals in contact zones showing signs of heterosis in one locus. Wild!🧬🦋 @BiolJLinnSoc academic.oup.com/biolinnean/…
