Lucasfilm has finally given permission to artists to start posting their Season 1 concept artwork for Young Jedi Adventures! Early on, I did some character design for the show, and designing the kitten version of the Loth/Tooka cat was one of my all time favorite assignments!

I don't think people realize how incredible it is that a movie rendered in nearly real-time in free software on a single computer just won the Oscar for best animated film. If there was ever any proof you don't need AI, this is it.

Flow was made entirely with Blender and rendered in real time with EEVEE. We didn't use a renderfarm. The final render was done on my PC. There was no compositing, all the colors were tweaked and adjusted using shaders.

As a former #DreamWorks employee, this is wildly tone deaf. NBCUniversal forced DWA to cut its staff by the hundreds & outsource to studios in other countries. Maybe the execs are happy, but def not the workers.
And the free food was way better when DWA wasn't owned by NBCU.
