Final (GW38) #FPL Tips This Year 🏁 • Rank goals > optimal template decisions • Worst week to take hits; it's never worth it. • This is the GW where your gut feeling matters way more. Intuition > Model decisions. • The goal should be to field a playing XI that you’re most confident in. xMins > EV/ceiling. • TOTEVE and WHULEE are the two games to target; high motivation & easy fixtures at the same time. Bowen, Porro, Mavropanos, Danso, and Richarlison are my favored choices. • Liverpool also have a strong fixture. Salah feels like the exclusive one-week punt: for his last game at Anfield, they surely want him to score. Szoboszlai, Wirtz, or Gakpo can be viable as well. • City is insanely difficult to predict. My feeling is that Pep wants to play the XI that he achieved the most with, and not the new signings/youngsters. Therefore, I think Semenyo, Cherki, and O’Reilly are under threat. • The same goes for Arsenal: my logic here is that Arteta will put out his Champions League XI to build cohesion, confidence, and match fitness, but the subs will come very early. Bruno Fernandes wants to set a new assist record. BHA away is not easy, but he’s certainly a good asset to have. Maybe even to captain. • More on Brighton: they are a highly motivated team against a shaky Man United defense. I’d like to keep Welbeck, but wouldn’t recommend him as a transfer target. I’d bench the defenders. • Another motivated team is Bournemouth. Tavernier and the defenders look fantastic. Good EV, with many solid performances as evidence. • Chelsea fall into the same category. Following a stronger output against Tottenham, Palmer, JP, and Enzo especially look great. Their defense is a no-go. • Haaland is the best EV95 captaincy option, but Pep’s rotation concerns me a bit. Fernandes or Bowen is a safe alternative for obvious reasons. I like a Palmer/Enzo captaincy for those with an extreme risk appetite. • Wait for info and leaks to make your final calls.

Lately, I’ve been seeing quite a bit of hate toward FPL managers who use models. I don't really get it... It’s a bit like going to a math exam where everyone uses a calculator, and you're just fuming because you don’t want to or don’t know how to use one. It’s a clear advantage, but if it’s "legal," you should take advantage of it. Plus, FPL isn't just "one exam", it’s making 38 decisions over the course of a season. I understand content creators on one hand, but not on the other. In my opinion, it doesn't look good when they present a model-based decision as if it were some exciting, deep thought process, because it wasn't; it was just two clicks. But how are they supposed to make content out of that? They’d say the move was 2 EV, and the video would be over. This isn't going to change; it’s only going to get more common. You have to move with the times, just as people do in every other decision-based game as math and computer science become more advanced. I understand if someone doesn't want to do this, but they just have to accept that their play won't be optimal; it’s not me saying that, it’s the numbers.
