The people who lied to you that Garland (and Mueller and Comey and the rest) would get Trump are professional propagandists put in place to protect not only Trump, but corrupt institutions like the DOJ. They are going to give you more bad and dangerous advice. Do not follow it.

If you want to know who is trustworthy, look at people’s track records. Did their analyses and predictions hold up over time? It’s as simple as that. Outcomes were not hard to discern, which is why a propaganda army was deployed to deter you from reaching obvious conclusions.

The same ding-dongs who said “Bill Barr is trustworthy” and “Mueller is coming” and “Cy Vance is gonna get him” are trying to sell you propaganda on Merrick Garland. Stop falling for this shit! If you want to know who’s reliable, check people’s track records of predictions.

Look at this. 1) Russian invasion of Ukraine 2) Russia throwing elections in Georgia 3) Russia interfering in Moldova referendum 4) Wagner in Sudan / Central African Republic 5) Wagner in Mali and wider Sahel 6) Russian submarine and naval activity off west coast of Ireland (and Iceland gap) 7) Russia in Syria

At the beginning, it was a reasonable strategy for both sides to take: - Russia felt, after the withdrawal from Afghanistan (and other things), that the West had no staying power and would give up - The West felt that they could collapse the Russian economy with unprecedented sanctions and international pressure. Both turned out to be wrong.

The war in Ukraine is the centre of the Russian story. It has settled down into an incredibly costly stalemated war, where both sides are waiting for the other to collapse. (Black is internationally recognised borders, Red is the limit of Russian expansion into Ukraine, Blue is the Ukrainian limit into Russia)

It used to be the headquarters of Whitman Walker Clinic during the height of the AIDS crisis. Thousands walked through those doors to receive volunteer health services before they died. I volunteered there during those years. That building is hallowed ground for a generation.

Serious issue in US politics globally that the GOP and especially Trump have what is essentially a SuperPAC as one of the 3 cable news networks. That's a rather substantial input on the US political news ecosystem.
"Fox News edited Trump’s rambling answers and false claims in barbershop interview, full video shows" Shocked not shocked that Fox is basically doing campaign ads for Trump. Credit to @CNN for digging into it⤵️ cnn.com/2024/10/24/media/fox…

I am a yank and so my fervor pales. But yeah, I’m a non-sparkler guy. In the U.S., where interest is already very low (though Portland is pretty good), trying to pawn a non-sparkled cask ale off on a customer is commercial death.
