Do you live or work near to Ordsall Hall? Why don't you spend your lunch break here in our organic gardens? You could visit us every day for a week and have a new bench every day - and not a bad view either! #ordsallhall #calm #salford #freemuseum #freegardens #organicgardens

A pair of 'Howgate Wonder' #apples on our #allotment stepover tree. Coming along nicely, but still a quarter to a third of their eventual size, if past growing seasons are anything to go by. #orchard

We are so excited to have lavender back in our garden! Not only does it look and smell amazing, it is a great source of pollen for bees and butterflies 🐝🦋🪻

Gorgeous shot of the Hall from last week's polling day!
Probably one of the best Polling Stations ⁦@OrdsallHall⁩ - there is still time to vote

Pretty much every nature organisation, 350 of them, tens of thousands of scientists, conservationists and growers march through London to tell the UK the manifestos are woefully inadequate to protect nature and us. Unprecedented. @BBCNews … nothing 👀

An anecdote of an interaction with a patient that has stayed with me for 15 years. When I was a fresh-faced 2nd year doctor in a GP practice, a young lady came for an appointment. She couldn’t have been more than 5 years older than me. The reason was ‘work stress’ A long 🧵

Today, first time in Polish TV, after 8 years of right-wing government, the LGBT activists appeared in live broadcast. I was seating there and heard journalist shaking voice. He made an apology after years of portraying LGBT-people a threat to Polish nation in the same studio. I was moved.. Apology an important part of reconciliation. This is Poland I want to fight for... Thank you...

Early summer may seem like a quiet, peaceful time in the #orchard, but there's still plenty of essential work for an #orchardist to be getting on with. Thinning fruitlets, checking for rootstock regrowth, clearing tree circles, irrigating and feeding... orchardnotes.com/2024/06/04/…

In the election I’m voting to deal with the emergency and oppose the far right. I’m voting with the most vulnerable person that I know in mind. The millions in poverty, who can’t physically or mentally survive another five years of this are my number one concern. My priorities are in order. FPTP is undemocratic so I’m promoting the loophole and encouraging everybody I know and can reach with my platforms else to do the same. Tactical voting is how we will destroy the bastards that have ruined our lives for 14 years. I will vote for Labour. My vote for isn’t based on loving them as a party or because they represent me perfectly, no politician ever will, it’s practical. I know they’ll do a better job, because my cat in a fucking bow tie would do a better job. They’re the route out. That’s what it’s about for me and it always been. It’s logical. Not ideological. Never make political figures your idols. it makes them beyond reproach. We’ve seen firsthand the horrors that populism brings. Send Farage into obscurity along with the Conservative Party, he’s how we ended up with BluKip. He’s a shit that won’t flush until we collectively reject his outdated fascistic irrelevant bullshit. Vote against the National Front. Vote against upperclasshole conmen posing as patriots who destroy our lives so their hedgefunder donors can get even richer. Vote to take your country back from racists. Then demand voter reform and press reform. Vote tactically. Destroy them. stopthetories.vote
