Been spending time optimizing marketing for our DTC brand in @bento this last weekish
The experience has been enjoyable, and addicting:
- Tanuki the Bento agent is elite, best company agent I've used by far
- Tanuki builds the workflows pretty much instantly
- The new dashboards and visuals are 🤌
- Had some annoying attribution stuff on our Nextjs site we couldn't figure out with Claude, Tanuki advised and voila, solved

i was just on @bento trying to grab their logo, and when i right-clicked it, they pointed me to a brand guidelines page with all the logos, assets, etc

Earlier this year I forced AI chat/agent mode as the default way to build automations in @Bento. Initially, there were some complaints but I feel like we're now in a really good spot where people like Matt below are claiming it made "zero mistakes". Onward!

Historically I've HATED wiring workflows, N8N, Make etc.
With Tanuki in Bento, it literally just happens almost instantly. Ive tried to find errors and haven't found any yet. Crazy!

This morning, I fired up @Bento to send this update to customers... Custom Hostnames are coming, in the meantime you can use a Cloudflare Worker even though I know it's not ideal.
But last minute I figured the Cloudflare Worker should probably proxy my robots.txt!

Doing this was fun!
1. Installed the @meetgranola and @SenjaHQ MCPs (converted to CLIs)
This let me analyze customer language which informed the content in the sequences.
2. Drafted the emails using Codex Claude and refined polished them myself.

Why are SaaS stocks in freefall? Everyone is missing one simple root cause: They Just Aren’t Very Good Software Anymore.
Not in the Age of AI.
Let me give you an example from this week. We are still using Marketo for email marketing. It’s a very dated platform but does have scale.
For the last 2 weeks, the Unsubscribe link has been broken on the emails Marketo sends from us.
That’s a CAN-SPAM violation and one that is really core to what Marketo does.
First, support told us it could not be fixed and blamed Salesforce. This makes no sense. We've literally not integrated them, changed nothing, and send no emails from Salesforce (yet).
Then, we were told the only way we could get on the phone was if we talked to engineering. We finally did.
They first blamed Salesforce. Then they said we were using another email client, not Marketo. Then they blamed Beehiv. Beehiv is cool, and we may use it soon, but we've never used it! Then they said it “must be something you are doing.”
Seriously? For $60k a year?
They never committed to any fix.
So we spun up a new unsubscribe link in Replit that manually deletes the record in Marketo.
This is a fail on many levels, yet so many pre-AI companies are still trying to sell $20k-$500k products this way. It worked from 2015-2022 or so.
But no one is going to buy this cr*p anymore when Claude and other AI leaders are just so, so great.

Or you can install @rightmessageapp and have one landing page that dynamically updates based on the ad the traffic came from and then sync that first party data with @bento to personalize all email comms.
Cheaper, doesn't break, works better.

We are launching Bounce Logs next week to all users. We've decided to integrate our other product, Tatami, directly into Bento. This will enable ALL customers to directly see bounce notifications and logs for all emails helping you more accurately debug what happened with an email. Additionally, we will provide AI to help you debug and get the email delivered.

How have I never heard of this product before?
Had a traffic spike this eve so wanted to throw an email capture up.
Bento had super super smooth onboarding and claude got it setup in about 4.5 minutes.

Check Bentonow.com. I was hearing great things from other makers for years. I've set it up this week and i'm impressed so far.
They care about the product and have a deep understanding of the email industry.
