WORLD RECORD MAKERS π
After 72 days and 10 hours on the water, the
@RevivalOcean team have just made history to become the first crew in a traditional ocean rowing boat to row across the Indian Ocean from mainland to mainland, setting off in May from Geraldton, Australia and making landfall on Friday in Kilifi, Kenya. No engine, no sail and no support - just four rowers with a joint ambition. π
Led by Royal Marine Matt Mason, the team have overcome storms, a capsize at night - that broke equipment and lacerated a crew memberβs face - sores, injuries and exhaustion.
And their boat - No Great Shakes - is now the only rowing boat on the planet to have crossed four of Earthβs oceans - Atlantic, Pacific, Arctic and now the Indian. π£ββοΈ
Well done to the team! π
