The 72nd Bishop of Exeter was formally ‘elected’ this morning, at Exeter Cathedral in a private ceremony, as part of a tradition dating back to the 13th century. This follows the King’s approval of his nomination, announced earlier this month, and precedes the Bishop’s enthronement which is due to take place at the Cathedral later this year. We are so very aware of the funding crisis in the hospice movement- but cutting spiritual care is like taking the soul out of holistic care. Where now do we recommend patients go to get spiritual care (especially if they are not religious?) #justnotholistic

I am so sorry to hear this. I am very aware of the acute funding crisis in the hospice movement, but hospice care without spiritual care is a poor echo was good EOL care looks like. @hospiceuk
