ALT Eternal One, we come before you to pray for our families and friends around the world, especially those in the land of Israel and the wider region, as they sit, once again, in their safe rooms and bomb shelters. We pray that their lives be preserved, and their dreams for a better future be fulfilled, speedily and without further loss. Preserve those who protect them, comfort those who mourn, heal those who are wounded in body and spirit, and steady the hearts of all who live in fear. In our nighttime prayers we say: โSource of our life and our Sovereign, cause us to lie down in peace and rise again to enjoy life!โ At this time of countering evil, we pray for all the innocents caught up in this war, may they be preserved in life, and may Your gifts of freedom and hope reign once again in a world that suffers so much.
May you be written and sealed for a year of growth, compassion, and purpose.
Let us enter 5786 with open hearts, grateful for the past and ready to embrace the future-stronger, kinder, and more united.
Shana Tovah from the rabbis at West London Synagogue #ShanaTovah
Tonight, Iโm lighting a candle to remember all those who were murdered just for being who they were, and to stand against prejudice and hatred today.
Never again.

LJF was honoured to be hosted by @lb_southwark and @SouthwarkMayor for the seventh night of Chanukah tonight. Rabbi Helen Freeman of @tweetWLS led a beautiful candle lighting ceremony with Pastor Lola. We're hugely grateful to everyone who helped make this special event happen.
