This faketoshi cryptocult leader is back to launch an altcoin. He's picked up some tricks from Craig Wright, such as the three-piece suit and getting angry when asked to sign. Will you allow him to be your arch angel?

What remains of toothless old Craig is a fascinating case study in malignant narcissism.
It's actually incredible that Craig still displays this level of narcissism and such delusions of grandeur after all the embarrassment of the past few years. There's quite a bit to unpack here, and it's pretty fascinating from a psychological point of view🧵

Let's take a quick look into Craig's first attempt to launch a #Bitcoin bank - Denariuz🧵 In the early 2010s, Wright lodged a rebate for the tax on $11.5m worth of microfinance and accounting software from banking giant Al Baraka Group, allegedly bought by Denariuz.

I dag er det årsmøte i BPI Norge. Da vi startet for halvannet år siden, var det avgjørende for styreleder Svein Ølnes at BPI skulle være en medlemsorganisasjon. Ikke noe annet.

I’m convinced Craig Wright is a Cerebral Narcissist. He does dumb forgeries because he’s desperate and thinks everyone else is stupid compared to him. He regularly violates the idiom, “never assume you’re the lone wolf in a room full of sheep.” He’s like a child that thinks you can’t see him when he closes his eyes. And Craig is willing to shamelessly lie ad nauseam. So he lies, gets caught and just covers it with more lies. It’s hard for many people to successfully deal with someone like that. Anyone remaining in the BSV camp at this point is in deep. Craig Wright is simply a midwit with the pathological need to be seen as this generation’s Isaac Newton.

Mentally ill people make the worst clients for attorneys. Tell me that Craig doesn’t match the diagnostic criteria of a Cerebral Narcissist. He starts every other sentence with, “Well actually….” choosingtherapy.com/cerebral…

Ordinals are dying. Earth is healing.
May 11
Ord io is shutting down on June 1. Three years ago, we launched our idea for "an Ordinals explorer with upvotes". We had no idea what was about to happen. Since then, Ord io has grown into a platform used by over a million people to explore inscriptions on Bitcoin. It brought us so much joy to ship features like Satributes for discovering the rare sats behind inscriptions and Block Vision for monitoring real-time Runes minting activity. Even simple filters and sorting options took on a life of their own. "Sort by largest inscription" quickly turned into a leaderboard where inscribers competed to create the biggest "four megger". And even the things that annoyed us at the time are funny to look back on now, like when the Bitcoin Puppets community would "raid" other collections so hard that we had to remove the downvote feature. To help preserve some of the Bitcoin culture that happened on Ord io, we'll be uploading the full history of upvotes, replies, and public address profiles to GitHub. That way, if someone wants to build their own Ordinals explorer with this context in the future, they can. Thank you to every single artist, collector, dev, and degen who joined us for this ride 🧡

James Browning pretends his new "Bitcoin 2.0" system will have a built-in blacklist with a number of violations and penalties. For example, you could lose all your money if you attempt to "hack" his revolutionary quantum-resistant cipher, spread FUD, or criticize James.

‘Non-technical teams are now shipping production code’ ⚠️ Get your #Bitcoin off Exchanges!
This is an email I sent earlier today to all employees at Coinbase: Team, Today I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce the size of Coinbase by ~14%. I want to walk you through why we're doing this now, what it means for those affected, and how this positions us for the future. Why now Two forces are converging at the same time. We need to be front footed to respond to both. First, the market. Coinbase is well-capitalized, has diversified revenue streams, and is well-positioned to weather any storm. Crypto is also on the verge of the next wave of adoption, with stablecoins, prediction markets, tokenization, and more taking off. However, our business is still volatile from quarter to quarter. While we've managed through that cyclicality many times before and come out stronger on the other side, we’re currently in a down market and need to adjust our cost structure now so that we emerge from this period leaner, faster, and more efficient for our next phase of growth. Second, AI is changing how we work. Over the past year, I’ve watched engineers use AI to ship in days what used to take a team weeks. Non-technical teams are now shipping production code and many of our workflows are being automated. The pace of what's possible with a small, focused team has changed dramatically, and it's accelerating every day. All of this has led us to an inflection point, not just for Coinbase, but for every company. The biggest risk now is not taking action. We are adjusting early and deliberately to rebuild Coinbase to be lean, fast, and AI-native. We need to return to the speed and focus of our startup founding, with AI at our core. What this means To get there, we are not just reducing headcount and cutting costs, we’re fundamentally changing how we operate: rebuilding Coinbase as an intelligence, with humans around the edge aligning it. What does this mean in practice? - Fewer layers, faster decisions: We are flattening our org structure to 5 layers max below CEO/COO. Layers slow things down and create coordination tax. The future is small, high context teams that can move quickly. Leaders will own much more, with as many as 15 direct reports. Fewer layers also means a leaner cost structure that is built to perform through all market cycles. - No pure managers: Every leader at Coinbase must also be a strong and active individual contributor. Managers should be like player-coaches, getting their hands dirty alongside their teams. - AI-native pods: We’ll be concentrating around AI-native talent who can manage fleets of agents to drive outsized impact. We’ll also be experimenting with reduced pod sizes, including “one person teams” with engineers, designers, and product managers all in one role. In short: AI is bringing a profound shift in how companies operate, and we’re reshaping Coinbase to lead in this new era. This is a new way of working, and we need to leverage AI across every facet of our jobs. To those who are affected I know there are real people behind these decisions — talented colleagues who have poured themselves into this company and our mission. To those of you who will be leaving: thank you. You’ve helped build Coinbase into what it is today, and I am sincerely grateful for everything you've done. All impacted team members will receive an email to their personal account in the next hour with more information, and an invitation to meet with an HRBP and a senior leader in your organization. Coinbase system access has been removed today. I know this feels sudden and harsh, but it is the only responsible choice given our duty to protect customer information. To those affected, we will be providing a comprehensive package to support you through this transition. US employees will receive a minimum of 16 weeks base pay (plus 2 weeks per year worked), their next equity vest, and 6 months of COBRA. Employees on a work visa will get extra transition support. Those outside of the US will receive similar support, based on local factors and subject to any consultation requirements. Coinbase prides itself on talent density. Our employees are among the most talented people in the world, and I have no doubt that your skills and experience will be highly sought after as you pursue your next chapters. How we move forward To the team that is staying, I know this is a difficult day. We’re saying goodbye to colleagues and friends you've been in the trenches with. But here’s what I want you to know as we move forward together: Over the past 13 years, we have weathered four crypto winters, gone public, and built the most trusted platform in our industry. We’ve made it this far by making hard decisions and by always staying focused on our mission. This time will be no different – nothing has changed about the long term outlook of our company or industry. And most importantly, our mission has never been more important for the world. Increasing economic freedom requires a new financial system, and we’re building it. The Coinbase that emerges from this will be more capable than ever to achieve our mission. Brian

A 14th proposal dropped on Part 3. It's the first one that actually answers the question I got most: "what can I do today without betting on a soft fork?" Daniel Buchner (@csuwildcat) published a draft BIP on April 10 that uses a corner of BIP 342 nobody was really using. Tapscript already treats any non-32-byte public key as an "unknown type" and any non-empty signature element as successful. That corner was left deliberately open so future soft forks could add new signature algorithms without redesigning tapscript. Buchner's insight: use it RIGHT NOW as a forward-compatibility slot. Encode a real SLH-DSA or SHRINCS public key with a one-byte tag, drop it into a tapscript leaf next to your real Schnorr key, spend today with a dummy witness. You get an ordinary Schnorr-secured spend under current rules — AND an on-chain commitment to the exact PQC verification slots you'd want after activation. When a future soft fork binds real semantics to those tags (with PQ signatures transported via the annex), the same UTXO becomes strictly PQ-verified with no migration spend. You don't have to pick BIP 360 vs SHRINCS vs STARK compression first. The slots just sit there. Whichever scheme eventually gets real verification rules is the one that wakes them up. If Q-day never comes, you lose nothing. If it does, your April 2026 UTXO becomes quantum-safe on its own. IF I had not elder oracle, It's the first proposal in the entire writeup that treats "what should I do today" as a solvable one-line problem.
