There is a lot of “Paraguay isn’t very good” talk. Full stop.
Under Alfaro, they lost just once in WCQ and went 9 straight without defeat. They beat URG, Brazil, & Argentina.
They were one of the best defensive teams in the 🌎.
Paraguay isn’t bad.
#USMNT made them look bad.
JUST A REMINDER.
Paraguay beat Brazil and Argentina and had the best defensive record in South American World Cup qualifying.
They just lost 4-1 to the USMNT in their opening match at the 2026 World Cup final.
Whoever wrote the letter either didn’t read @TPPF’s report or doesn’t understand it. The report correctly and unequivocally demonstrates that STEP is unreliable, unaffordable, and unnecessary. TPPF has said consistently that the PUC should expedite local transmission in the Permian Basin. What Texas and the Permian Basin do not need is a massive $33 billion project that creates no new generation, increases costs, and ignores property rights. Better alternative plans exist that provide the energy the PB needs. Lawmakers should pause the STEP proposal and consider those plans before pushing Texas further in the wrong direction.
Busy day on the electricity front: the O&G associations sent this letter today to #txlege leadership/PUC/ERCOT backing the transmission buildout to West Texas, criticizing the @TPPF white paper from the other week.

This season was special for @TarletonBase.
“There was a lot of first, but certainly won’t be the last”
Hear from the players & Head Coach about how special a year it was for this program.
If it's a "cultural reset" we want, Fofana, Gusto and Neto should be the first players sold in the summer, even for a loss. Rotten apples.
Them being here next year is a sign the reset has failed.
In 2020, we had a guy on from a ballroom in Lithuania, I think it was, who was there to see a 16 year old French kid he swore was unlike anything else on earth. I thought he was nuts.
He was right.
That guy @Mike_Schmitz is now the Mavs GM.
